Today we stopped by Mingos Soda & Scoops in Ham Lake, MN for a special treat! They’re located just off Highway 65 near the T-Box Bar & Grill!

My wife and daughter have been coming here for a while, and this was my first time trying it! Super good.

Loved the dirty soda creations! Not too sweet, just right! They also had an awesome selection of small batch Cedar Crest Ice Cream made in Wisconsin!

Highly recommend giving this small business a shot!

Yesterday for dinner I went out to Hibachi Grill & Sushi after they messaged us the day before about being a new restaurant and not having a lot of people coming through the doors.. you guys.. this is amazing! Keep doing your thing!

I tried tacos here on a whim last summer before I was doing food reviews.. I’ve been thinking about them ever since.. finally made it back to Tacos El Paraiso in New Hope, MN where they are serving up some of the best Mexican dishes in Minnesota out of a humble food truck!

I’m a huge fan of tacos, and Quasabirria tacos are some of my all time favorite.. these were the best I’ve ever had. I definitely need to come back to try their street tacos and other dishes!

This spot is CASH ONLY! 💴

There’s a new Japanese restaurant in Blaine, MN called Hibachi Grill & Sushi! They opened a little over a month ago, and it’s been pretty slow. The owner sent me over a message yesterday hoping we could spread the word, and luckily we were able to make it out today!

This is as good or better than any hibachi I’ve had in Minnesota, and I loveeeee hibachi! I think I brought my wife on our 3rd date out for her first hibachi experience. We’re big fans. She loved her steak hibachi dish, and was commenting on how good the fried rice was as well!

Next time I go back I’m going to try the sushi and some of their chicken wings! Everything looks so good. Please go support these guys. The owner was honestly the nicest guy! He generously offered us free food for us to just come try it, which can be common, but we’d always rather try to support these small businesses! I may not be the biggest food creator, but I’m always happy to try to help platform these awesome small businesses!

Eating in a calorie deficit doesn’t have to suck! Let me show you how to make a super flavorful smashburger that’s only 426 calories and packs 45 grams of protein!

I made it on my Blackstone grill but you can totally do this indoors in a pan, or make 1 thicker patty on a gas, charcoal or pellet grill!

There’s a new taco truck called Rosa's Tacos in Dayton, MN so you know we had to try it out!

I grew up down the road from this gas station, and my dad told me we needed to try it.. I then received a couple DM’s asking me to try it from people in the area.. so here we are!

Minnesota really has a lot of great taco spots. For me the Barbacoa and Al Pastor street tacos here were a chefs kiss! I liked the size and flavor of their white corn tortillas on the street tacos, and the salsas were great! If I lived down the road still, this would be a regular spot for me to grab lunch or dinner! They have burritos, quesadillas, tortas, and I think burgers too!

We’re on a mission to try every single sandwich at the best sandwich shop in Minnesota, Herban Wolf Deli! Today we’re trying the Bramble!

The Bramble has blackberry jalapeño jam, fresh blackberries, fresh thin sliced jalapeños, lemon tyme cream cheese, extra sharp cheddar, bacon, on a crispy toasted Italian bread! It was a winner, just like every sandwich I’ve ever had here!

Remember that Herban Wolf had a rotating weekly/bi-weekly menu! Always check online before you go.. but you really can’t go wrong with any sandwich here!
