It amazes me that just a couple months ago, I was only just thinking of starting my second business. It was just a dream!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Where I am right now is exactly where I dreamed to be when I first started.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I knew it was possible but who would've ever imagined I would be helping other life coaches/therapists break out of instagram compassion fatigue, create powerful posts, and engage with ideal clients.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This isn’t because I’m lucky or it just happened to work out for me. It’s because I put in the work and stepped wayyyyy outside of my comfort zone. And because of the amazing community at who told me "Hey - I need your help! Do you offer this?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Possibilities are endless when you decide to just start. I want to hear where you are on your journey??? Just starting out or striving along in your journey??

Why you should stop comparing yourself to strangers on the internet 👇
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did you know that you’re wasting your time and mental health by looking at what everyone else is doing??
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
YEP. It’s true.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a young coach, I used to spend HOURS looking up what so-and-so was posting, how she was posing, and what she provided. I seriously used to screen shot her feed and try to make mine look similar.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As you can probably tell… that ended poorly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I realized then that we CAN’T keep looking to others if we want a brand/business/company that attracts ideal clients who understand us at a soul level.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s some quick tips that have helped me tackle this pesky issue once and for all:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻 TIP #1: Set a 15 min timer and brain dump what excited YOU about your field of focus
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻 TIP #2: Write down your top 10 strengths! It's time to use those in your coaching business. Are you kind, empathetic, and funny? Start there! If you need help finding your strengths, ask a loved one!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻 TIP #3: Repeat this mantra..."I have what it takes internally. I am an original, not a copy."

ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT BEING A LIFE COACH ON INSTAGRAM
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼 You have to show up 24/7. The more the better.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
SAYYYYY WUUUTTT?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know, right?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While yes, "showing up" on instagram and being consistent for your audience is good and I encourage consistent action, at the same time, more content without intention is actually not helping you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a coach, it's easy to fall into the trap of "I need to show more, provide more, and give more".
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This could be due to an underlining belief system... maybe that you find your worth in your work. Maybe you could just work more, be more, create more.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One thing I had to learn (and I learned the hard way)...I cannot earn my worth by being MORE. This was a one way ticket to burnout-ville. The place you go when you are exhausted by your social media presence and then sign off all together for a few weeks.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's easily one of the hardest things I’ve EVER done was to shift my belief from more to less. It takes some serious time, dedication, and tears, recognizing ways I have self-sabotaged in my business.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll be honest. I am not perfect - but I have worked through some major beliefs that my worth is in my work.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And you know what?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s alllll worth it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No, really. It is.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because when you get to help people create a business they love, it's MAGIC. When you get to see your clients SERVE others in ways that make your heart pound, it's all worth it.

Just Thankful.

This morning, one of my coaching clients messaged me and sent a beautiful message of our time together.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For those of you that don't know, I am also a life coach/mindset coach like you! I have been running my business called for 4+ years and this is my second business love!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I say I have been in your shoes, I HAVE and still am! I think what is so fun about being a SMM for life coaches is that I am one. I know what it feels like to be rejected but also to be rewarded in this helping field!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know what it feels like to struggle with messaging, content, hashtags, focusing on what's important, imposter syndrome...you name it, I have been there.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I can also tell you - everything was and will be worth it. Even though being an entrepreneur is not always easy it's worth the work.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And now - you don't have to do it alone! You can have someone on your team who knows about mental health, instagram, and what you need to find clarity and peace in this business world!

REMINDER: You are so so so loved. Your worth is not in your work.
