Let us begin with a prayer: Heavenly Father, open our hearts to Your Word and strengthen our faith. Amen.
Today, we read from Mark 4:35-41: As evening came, Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they set out across the lake in a boat. Suddenly, a furious storm arose. Waves crashed over the boat, and it began to fill with water. The disciples, terrified, found Jesus asleep on a cushion. They woke Him, crying, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” Jesus got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Instantly, the wind died down, and it was completely calm. He asked them, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” The disciples were amazed and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”
This story reminds us that no matter how fierce our storms, we are never alone. Jesus is with us, ready to bring peace when we call on Him. Let us trust Him in every storm and remember that faith can calm even the wildest fears.
Closing prayer: Lord, help us remember Your power and love. Calm our hearts in life’s storms and strengthen our faith each day. Amen.
