Two members of the Marquette men's lacrosse team, Scott Michaud and Noah Snyder, were killed in a car wreck Friday night near the school's campus in downtown Milwaukee.

The Wisconsin Badgers overcome an incredibly sloppy first half against, to beat Middle Tennessee, 42-10.

Badgers quarterback Danny O’Neil got it going. He went 23-for-27 passing for 283 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. O’Neil broke the school record for passing yards by a quarterback in their first start.

Better snapping, and a much cleaner effort will be needed when the Badgers head to Tuscaloosa to face the (currently)21st-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, next Saturday.

Parsons is not expected to have a full complement of plays in the game.

Don’t know who Vinny Iyer is, but it sounds like he’s a hot take artist.

Matt LaFleur is not on the hot seat. His seat isn’t even warm. One of the winningest coaches in his tenure so far. He’s 67-33 in the regular season. (70-38 including playoffs.) If the Packers win 5 games this season, LaFleur will surpass Don Shula for most wins in his first seven seasons as a head coach in the NFL. Yeah, THAT Don Shula.

Death. Taxes. The Milwaukee Brewers win a game started by Quinn Preister.

The Crew are 17-0 over Preister’s last 14 starts and 3 relief outings. That isn’t the end of the brilliance. Preister has won his last 11 decisions, breaking a 33-year old franchise record.

The Brewers have bigger goals in mind, but it’s the journey and what’s learned from it that helps get you to those goals. Winning at all costs when your starter gives quality on the mound, is part of that journey.
