As the Woodward offices underwent a recent renovation and we dug deep to clean out our desks, our Sunshine Committee hosted Oddest in the Office contest to recognize the strangest find.

The award went to Insight's Aaron Holbrook and his handful of fuel pellets made from pre-consumer waste that he received while interviewing Convergen Energy CEO Ted Hansen. See the story: https://loom.ly/gMe_3Gk

Meet one of our 2025 40 Under 40s: A grant writer for Sole4Souls!

Q: What do you wish more people understood about your industry?

A: I wish people understood how difficult the work in the nonprofit world can be, the talent required to work in the industry and that nonprofit professionals are seeking solutions to some of the community’s most considerable problems. I have heard friends or others in the corporate world talk about how they want to do something less challenging or stressful and “should maybe just work in a nonprofit.” Nonprofit work requires skills and talent and can require an exhaustive amount of mental and emotional energy.

Meet one of our 2025 40 Under 40s: Tim Muldoon: Commercial Underwriter, Acuity Insurance!

Q: What is one cause or issue that you’re especially passionate about, and why?

A: Building inclusive communities. People now have the ability to connect with others on a global scale in an instant, but yet we are seeing elevated levels of loneliness. There's a reason why I prefer participating in races, rather than running out the front door of my house—people from different backgrounds and experiences running together on the same course.
