Chris Snee isn’t forgetting where he came from or the school and community that helped shape him.

For the second consecutive year, the two-time Super Bowl Champion with the New York Giants returned home to help run a youth football camp alongside Montrose youth and high school coaches. Combined with a golf tournament benefiting the program, it’s clear Snee is committed to giving back to the community and football program that played a major role in his journey.

And once again, the response was overwhelming.

A total of 73 kids participated in this year’s camp, creating plenty of excitement and energy around the Meteors football program and throughout the Montrose community.

Montrose Head Coach Brett Stage, alongside Snee, had the opportunity to get an early look at the next generation of Meteors. What stood out most wasn’t just the competitiveness on display, but the eagerness of the young athletes to learn the game of football.

Stage understands what it takes to build a successful program. He served as an assistant under Steve Jervis at Lackawanna Trail and most recently under Terry Gallagher at Scranton Prep, learning from two of District 2’s most successful coaches.

Now it’s Stage’s turn to pass along that knowledge and help shape the future of Montrose football.

When the time comes for these young players to make the jump to the varsity level, the hope is that the foundation being built today—through camps, mentorship, and community involvement—will help lead the Meteors back to success.

And if Brett Stage and Chris Snee have anything to say about it, that foundation will continue to grow for years to come.
