I created this page as a space where I can share my different wine related posts. I hope you will follow along on this journey with me!

I would love it to be a place where you will also share your favorites with me! I enjoy trying new wines and would like to learn more about the different varieties available, and the regions from which they come. In order to do so, I am going to complete the course to become WSET (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) Level 1 certified and will be sharing my experience with that here as well.

I’ve had this one many times before and it’s one of my favorites!
It’s fresh, and crisp, with the perfect amount of acidity.

Body - 3
Acidity - 2
Sweetness - 2
Fruit intensity - 3

I agree with the scores, although I would give the acidity a 3, instead of a 2.

Tonight, I am enjoying a wine I’ve had numerous times before!
It is not from the wine club.

2020 Chardonnay
Napa Valley, CA 🇺🇸

This wine is dry, with medium acidity. I definitely pick up on notes of citrus and mineral.

I’ve had a few syrahs before and I’m normally not a big fan but it’s been a while and I think my taste has changed.
I actually really enjoyed this one!

I definitely pick up one hints of oak, 🪵, vanilla, and pepper.
I love the spicy tones to it!

I enjoy this wine a lot.
It’s acidic and bright, with notes of citrus🍋‍🟩 and floral on the nose. 👃

I have not had this wine before. It’s really good! It’s a nice, dry, Chardonnay.

It has earthy, mineral notes.
It is bold, and dry, with medium acidity.

I would definitely have this one again!

I haven’t been on the Firstleaf website lately, so I didn’t realize that I can’t click on an order and then select a wine to get all the details and the information that used to be on the cards that came with them.
I actually have to go to the app now, which is not handicap accessible, and I can’t invert it so that I can easily view it. 😞

It also doesn’t give a scorecard with numbers anymore, but instead, it shows a bar with an indicator somewhere on it.
That’s difficult for me to see because of my vision impairment.

So, no scores going forward. 😞

Anyway…

I’ve had this wine numerous times over the course of my membership.
It’s very nice.
I definitely pick up on hints of citrus end notes of mineral.

It’s a wine that I would call dependable and a great go to if you like Sauvignon Blanc.

I mentioned before, Chardonnay is my favorite white wine.
However, I enjoy trying all of the others and that’s why this one is a great go to as well.

19 Crimes
Cabernet Sauvignon

I’ve had this wine before and opened this bottle up on Friday so I could enjoy it over the weekend.

I love this collection; 19 Crimes!
I think the labels are very interesting and the wine is tasty.
It’s bold, but not over the top. I think it is a great introduction to Cabernet Sauvignon if you haven’t had it before.
There are definitely citrus notes, but I tend to pick up on the more earthy and oak 🪵 notes.

I know I have had this wine before, but I did not see that I had added it to my Vivino account.🤷‍♀️

I really like this wine.
It’s bold, and dry, with hints of oak 🪵 and vanilla.

It’s very pleasing on the nose. 👃

This wine has a screw top. Historically, people have viewed screwtop wines to be cheap and of lesser quality.
I beg to differ!

Screw top wines are actually becoming far more popular, even with higher end wines.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This wine is delicious and definitely worth a try.
