Wednesday night I launched a podcast on the Top 10 comedians. I made my list. Spoiler Alert: If you had told me BEFORE this podcast that I’d change my #1 comedian, I would’ve told you to "GTFOH." There was NO WAY I was moving Richard Pryor off the top spot. But guess what? That’s exactly what happened. In this debut episode of “Club Calculations,” I laid out my Top 10 comedians along with The Thought Brothers podcast co-hosts. Then comedians Nicky Sunshine and Sherwin XL stepped in and dropped comedic and historical knowledge bombs that had us rethinking everything. They broke it all down—impact, longevity, timing, truth-telling—and it changed the way we viewed comedy. There were “ah-ha” moments, raised eyebrows, and real laughter as we discussed the impact of legends like: Eddie Murphy, Redd Foxx, George Carlin, Lucille Ball, Joan Rivers, Rodney Dangerfield, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Paul Mooney, Flip Wilson and more. The Thought Brothers and the Black Men In America.com websites assembled an all-female panel to analyze the results of the 2024 Presidential election, showcasing Donald Trump's stunning political comeback. Exit polls have revealed that Black voters supported Vice President Kamala Harris similarly to the way they backed President Joe Biden in the 2020 election. However, Donald Trump increased his percentage of voters from the last election with Black voters, Latinos and women.

This is one of the most important shows and interviews that I've hosted and produced. Incidents of domestic violence are increasing. I wanted to put a spotlight on this topic with a focus on victim blaming. Who better to call than Ms. Mildred D. Muhammad, the award-winning global speaker who talks about her life of terror, abuse, and heartache, all while promoting domestic abuse/violence awareness and prevention. Mildred appeared on The Thought Brothers podcast last night. She "pulled no punches" and gave it to us "straight with no chaser." Thanks to Carlos Prillman, Bill Spivey, Christopher Johnson and our mini-town hall participants for this important and critical discussion that is available for all to see.

Had a GREAT interview with domestic violence expert Mildred D. Muhammad about a very serious topic on The Thought Brothers podcast. That interview will be available later today. Domestic violence and abuse is increasing. Mildred enlightened us about the behaviors of abusers, how you can unknowingly be a participant in "victim blaming" and practical things you can do to support men and women on the receiving end of violence. In addition, Mildred provided information on resources and where victims can go for help. Check back later today for links to the interview.
