The Guitar Studio

The Guitar Studio is a place where you will gain tremendous skill in guitar playing. We accept all levels of proficiency, from beginner through advanced. Instruments taught are acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and bass guitar. We always incorporate the guitarist's personal interests in music and artists that they admire within the individualized curriculum! Everything from flatpicking and fingerpicking techniques, strumming and rhythm, comping and soloing, music theory and ear training are all available to be covered. We custom fit the lessons for each individual guitarist in order to differentiate instruction for the best possible outcome. As the lead instructor, I have my advanced masters in music degrees from Northwestern University, and my undergraduate work from Northern Illinois University. I am also the Director of Music and Theatre in a suburban Chicago school district. I have sustained tremendous success in private guitar instruction for over 30 years!
