Texas will always stand for religious freedom, both here and abroad. Earlier this week I was proud to stand with my fellow members in the unanimous passage of HR 10, which reaffirmed Texas’ support for the people of Israel and Israel’s right to self-defense.

As the death toll in Israel continues to mount from cruel and barbaric acts of terrorism, I would like to make it clear that I firmly denounce these heinous actions and stand firmly with Israeli citizens and their fight to ensure the welfare, security, and survival of the State of Israel.

Here at home, I know the memory of last year's antisemitic terrorist attack weighs heavy on the minds of many. I would like to offer my wholehearted support for the Jewish Community here in Tarrant County and my office will be working closely with law enforcement to ensure the security of Jewish organizations and congregations.

We cannot—and will not—allow antisemitism or terrorism to win.
