The Presidential Debate has officially been CANCELED.

The call was sent out. The opportunity was given. The membership asked for transparency, accountability, and a chance to hear directly from the candidates.

Here’s where it stands:

Demohn “MoCheese” Stanley — Declined
Keith “Keibo” Crowell — Accepted
Mike Cartwright — No Response
Sheila Collins — No Response

The candidates have spoken… without speaking.

This debate was never about drama. It was about giving the membership a fair opportunity to hear platforms, compare leadership, and ask real questions before Election Day. But without full participation and timely responses, there is no debate to host.

To the membership: pay attention. Leadership starts before the title. Accountability starts before the vote.

The floor has all the power.

Right now, one candidate accepted. One declined. Two still have not responded.

The deadline is TODAY at 3:00 PM.

And after that?

NO RESPONSE IS A RESPONSE.

You cannot ask to lead the membership, ask for votes from the membership, and then go silent when the membership asks to hear from you directly.

This debate is not about drama.
It is not about attacks.
It is not about playing “gotcha.”

It is about accountability.
It is about transparency.
It is about standing in front of the people you claim you want to represent.

So Local 276, apply that pressure.

Tag them. Call them. Message them. Tell them the members want answers.

Because if you want the title, you should be willing to face the membership.

🚨 UAW Local 276 Presidential Debate Announcement 🚨

The call has officially been sent out.

276 Speak Up! Podcast will be hosting the UAW Local 276 First Ever Presidential Debate on Sunday, May 3, 2026, after the union meeting, broadcast LIVE on Facebook and YouTube.

We originally planned to hold a Town Hall, but after further consideration, we have decided to forego the Town Hall and move forward with the Presidential Debate format instead. Therefore, the scheduled Town Hall will be canceled.

All presidential candidates were invited to participate. At this time, one candidate has declined, but the debate will still move forward with those willing to answer the call, stand before the membership, and address the questions that matter.

This debate is about transparency, accountability, leadership, and giving the membership a chance to hear directly from the candidates seeking to lead UAW Local 276.

Members will be able to submit questions, and questions may be directed to all candidates or to a specific candidate.
