Glen Burnie native. North County High grad. St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

And now an outfielder for the San Francisco Firebells in the inaugural season of the Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL). ❤️⚾️

Her 2026 regular-season numbers were pretty incredible:

🔥 .490 batting average
🔥 25 hits in 51 at-bats
🔥 16 runs
🔥 4 doubles
🔥 1 home run
🔥 11 RBIs
🔥 .552 on-base percentage
🔥 1.179 OPS
🔥 And maybe my favorite stat: ZERO strikeouts in 51 at-bats.

That .490 average was second among the league’s regular everyday hitters, behind only Denae Benites’ .569.

Not bad for a hometown girl from Glen Burnie, Maryland. 😉

Watching P!nk’s tribute to Dolly Parton at the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame hits a little differently this week. 💔

P!nk celebrated Dolly not just as an incredible singer and songwriter, but as a trailblazer, storyteller, humanitarian, and a woman who was always unapologetically herself.

Then came “Coat of Many Colors” — one of Dolly’s most personal songs — followed by that unforgettable all-star “Jolene” finale.

What a gift that Dolly was there to hear those words, feel that love, and know just how deeply she had impacted generations of artists and fans!

This week, that tribute feels less like an induction and more like a reminder of the extraordinary legacy Dolly leaves behind. 🌸🎶

I was looking for something music-related to post this morning since we don’t have Music Bingo this week. I scrolled around for a while and honestly couldn’t find anything that felt worth sharing.

I definitely wasn’t expecting the music news today to be the loss of Dolly Parton. 💔

I am devastated. Dolly has always been one of my absolute favorite singers — one of those voices and personalities that just felt like she’d always be here.

What an incredible loss for music and for the world. Rest easy, Dolly. ❤️🎶

We will always love you. 💔
