Green Man’s 25th Anniversary Celebration! Music Festival on St. Patrick’s day and throughout the weekend. Thursday focuses on Dirty Jack’s, Green Man’s original location; featuring the bands Supper Club, Father Son Picnic, Jeb Rogers Band, and Skunk Ruckus all inside our original taproom! Friday will have a smaller street festival feel with two local DJ’s at the Green Mansion, featuring Dj Meow Meow and DJ lyric. Saturday is the big street festival blow out! Featuring the bands Patrick Dodd, Red Clay Revival, and Empire Strikes Brass. Every day is totally free to attend and focuses on supporting the Asheville community through the WNC Bridge Foundation along with other local vendors, food trucks, and community organizations.

The Virtue of Patience. A Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine. We welcomed our taproom at Forestry Camp with this fine strong ale’s inaugural vintage in 2019. Here is our fourth chapter. Our 2022 vintage was aged in a blend of Willets Bourbon Barrels for a year, enduring the continual drain of unknown chaos that befell our year. This blend was once again championed by our barrelmaster, Chris Golden, who dug out his very best picks for this year's cuvee. Warm up with a bevy of caramel, toasted marshmallow, dark chocolate and tahitian vanilla on the aroma, leading into flavors molasses, toasted coconut, vanilla, bourbon, and dates. 12.5%.
Our story holds the release date you're after. Do not fight against time's will. The practice of restraint shall bear worthy splendor.

Okay, one of the heaviest of heavy hitters just got on board with the 2022 WNC Pizza Fight! Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co. has been voted Asheville's #1 favorite pizza place year after year in the Mountain Xpress "Best of WNC" readers' poll, and they are excited to be throwing down some pie with us on Feb 23rd, along with 15 other contenders! The last time we had one of these Pizza Fights, Amazing Pizza Co. from Hendersonville took home the gold, so they are defending their title against APB and other fan favorites, like Manicomio, Tin Can Pizzeria, Del Vecchios, The Original Papa Nick's Pizza, and Grata Pizzeria! Also in the mix is Asheville Pizza South, the spin-off of APB! Different owners, different pies, different reputations on the line! And then a handful of hopefuls, newcomers, upstarts, and lesser-knowns, like Pizza Daddy, Mean Pies Pizza, Black Bear Pizza,and TravelinDough! Oh! And then there's Baba Nahm, an Asheville favorite. A Middle Eastern restaurant. Huh. Chef says the other pizza makers "WILL BE CRUSHED" (all caps his), so I like that level of confidence, and besides, as far as I can tell, pizza has it's origins in, like, 5,000 year old Egyptian flat breads and s**t, so welcome on board, Baba Nahm! I have room for 2 more competitors, and I already have about 5 invitations out there, pending reply, so I'll keep you posted!

Hi all! A group of us will be traveling from Virginia to Asheville this weekend to visit some breweries and restaurants. I'd like to know if there is a general consensus around COVID restrictions. We are prepared to follow all rules but we want to know... are breweries requiring masks, or requiring proof of vaccination or only offering outdoor seating, etc. Any insight you could give would be greatly appreciated so we can enjoy our trip. Thanks!

Join us on Wed, July 28th for our 3pm Rally and Press Conference at the Thomas Auditorium at the Blue Ridge Community College for the Preservation of the Crab Creek Community. The rally is our one and only chance to send a message to the County officials who will decide the fate of our community by deciding whether to approve and allow a developer to build 125k sq ft storage facility at 547 Crab Creek Road. Such a mega monstrosity will destroy our rural character, devalue nearby property, threaten our clean water and compromise public safety. Your presence at the Rally makes a difference as it will show that we as a community are united in our plea to Henderson County officials for more responsible and managed planning. We will have expert witnesses plead our case from various fields that will testify as to the negative impact such a storage facility will have in our rural community and how it will interfere with the beautiful environment that both locals and millions of tourists enjoy every year. The County decision is extremely important to the future of our community and neighboring counties because once the County allows commercial businesses to build on rural and residential zones, it will be almost impossible to reverse that decision which then potentially allows for other commercial enterprises to follow suit. We hope to relate the message to the County that with proper planning the county is capable of protecting and enhancing the rural and small town character of Crab Creek while also allowing for growth. There are currently 53 storage facilities within 20 miles of the proposed storage site, 37 storage facilities within 15 miles and 13 within 10 miles. Henderson City Council just approved a project allowing the building of a new 99k sq ft storage facility off Asheville Highway. There is no need for yet another storage facility in our Crab Creek Community.
