The rare pillar on P2 of Sam’s! Hope folks are getting out to enjoy some of the ice climbs formed in this cold snap. Many are outlined in Southern Pisgah Rock and Ice. Common routes are largely in great shape, and many more ‘newly discovered’ or ‘rediscovered’ lines like this one are being celebrated through out the region. Let’s hope this week doesn’t melt it all.

Excited to announce the release of New WNC Boulders, a guide to several areas opened in the last few years by the Carolina Climbers Coalition. Huge thanks to the hundreds of volunteer stewards, land access supporters, and CCC supporters that helped make these areas happen. All book proceeds will be donated back to the CCC. Com on out this Saturday to Buffalo Creek Park to celebrate this new access with the CCC and friends. Books available at grounduppublishing.com. .chimney.rock
