The Houston County Department of Human Resources was no where to be found when the Bad A B’s of Ashford committed those racist hateful acts against the children.

Whomever is operating this platform we’d love to collaborate.

📌 Today we take the veil off leadership at Houston County DHR.

Leslie Kelly has been part of the child welfare system for nearly three decades. According to a Dothan Eagle article from 2018, she had already served 22 years at that time. Now, 29 years later, she is the director of Houston County DHR.

Families across this county and beyond continue to report the same patterns: children removed under false pretenses, teenage rebellion twisted into case files, parents stripped of authority, rights trampled, and threats of arrest if they dare to ask a question.

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers tell us their concerns are ignored, their voices silenced, and their families destroyed.

Caseworkers whose names appear again and again on paper trails protect one another instead of children.

They party together on weekends, then return on Monday to sign off on removals that leave families shattered. That is not oversight. It is corruption, and it is happening under this director’s watch.

Families are reporting that Leslie Kelly is known for using bad tactics that harm families rather than protect them. Instead of addressing corruption, she shields it. Instead of ensuring accountability, she signs off on chaos.

The child welfare system was meant to safeguard the vulnerable. Instead, it has become an instrument of fear and destruction. Accountability starts at the top.

The culture operating behind those walls is built on betrayal and abuse of power.

Leadership sets the tone. If the culture is careless, children will feel it. If the culture is arrogant, parents will feel it. If the culture is reckless, the whole community will feel it. Under Leslie Kelly’s direction, Houston County feels it all.

This is in Dothan. We are very concerned. There is a daycare in Ashford we believe operated by the same people. DHR what is this? 💔

📍(Dothan, Alabama) When abuse is confirmed but no one is held accountable, the system is protecting itself not the children.

Two signatures. One letter. A confirmed case of abuse at Dothan Christian Development daycare.

Mandy Gomez and Leslie Sasnett of Houston County DHR signed off that a toddler's broken arm, injured twice in one day, was abuse. Yet no one has been charged. The daycare remains open.

If DHR's role is to protect children, how does a confirmed abuse case like this end with no charges?

Where is the safety they promise? How is this justice? How does this happen? And what would have happened if this were a parent?
