New Content Up!

We spend all our time arguing about whether a president broke the law, when we should be asking why the system lets them do it in the first place.

What do you think? How do we fix a system that only reacts after the damage is done? Drop your thoughts in the comments below, and if you think this is a loophole Congress needs to close, share this post with someone else who cares about the future of our checks and balances.

I’m disheartened. And I know I’m not the only one.

If you’ve noticed it’s been quiet on my blog lately, I’m going to be completely honest with you: I’ve been exhausted.

It feels like every single day brings a new wave of absurdities and heartbreaks. We are watching basic scientific safety and public health protections stripped away. We’re watching critical programs dismantled while spectacle, gold-plating, and vanity projects take priority over substance. We’re watching families ripped apart, military families targeted, and human dignity treated like a secondary thought.

And on top of it all, the financial corruption and shameless hypocrisy make your stomach turn. While regular families are struggling to afford basic groceries and deciding if they can even buy hamburger meat, the wealthy elite in power are raking in billions, executing thousands of stock trades, and gorging on luxury while telling working people to suck it up. It is sickening.

I’ve found myself typing out the same arguments, feeling the exact same outrage, and wondering how many different ways I can write about the same systemic cruelty before it just becomes noise. It is draining, and it makes you want to throw your hands up in despair.
But I refuse to let my blog, this page, or the pushback just fade away into silence.

Right now, rather than just shouting into the void about the endless stream of news, I want to write about what you need to hear. Where should we shine the light? What specific topic, policy, or story do you want broken down right now? Is there an issue you want research on, or something you're trying to make sense of yourself?

Drop a comment or send a message. I am still here, I am still standing, and we are going to keep speaking out - even when it's exhausting. ❤️

Hi friends. I’ve been a bit quiet lately. Life has been full and occasionally overwhelming - but I'm ready to get back to writing.

I’ve got several blog ideas simmering, but none have jumped up and said “pick me” yet. So I’m turning to you: what’s happening out there that you want me to dig into - political or otherwise?

Drop your ideas in the comments. I’d love to get something out this weekend.

Recorded this with my son while he was home on leave from the Navy, and every time it resurfaces, it reminds me why transparency matters. People fear because they don’t know — but when we’re honest, when we show up for each other, the world becomes a lot less scary.

The light is always on for anyone who’s struggling. That’s the heart behind what I write.
