We're fortunate to have found a 1988 WACA-TV Ashland video from an Ashland Day fundraiser honoring our beloved Chief Robert J. Gonfrade with an award.

Chief Gonfrade, who passed away in 2025, was a community cornerstone. He served as Ashland's Police Chief from 1974 to 1994, dedicating his life to public service despite serious injury. Beyond policing, Bob was a tireless Ashland advocate, a Life Member and Past President of the Lions Club, and a cherished youth hockey coach. This clip captures the laughter and camaraderie surrounding him, reflecting his lasting impact on Ashland. Enjoy this classic moment featuring Chief Robert J. Gonfrade.
