This guy is pretty humble & doesn’t like to brag. So I’ll do it for him.
Brad has worked for Chick-fil-A, since he was 17 years old. That’s 30 YEARS! He started as a team member in his hometown of Dublin, GA, and then went off to college. In our college town of Statesboro, GA, he continued to work as a team member, working his way up in leadership during that time.
Brad was the older, non traditional college student—having to pay for, and do it all on his own. He was only able to take a couple classes per semester, because he was working full time. Nonetheless, he was the first in his family to graduate from college.
After graduating with a BBA, he took a corporate job with Chick-fil-A, traveling around the country, working on underperforming restaurants. He was in that program for 2 years, before accepting a position as Owner/Operator at Chick-fil-A, Lakeland Square Mall, in Lakeland, FL in 2009. There he was super successful—growing the business and achieving the coveted Symbol of Success award, not once, but twice, in three years!
Brad had a goal of owning and operating a brand new, free standing restaurant. While yes, our family was in the South, we took a big leap of faith and moved out West, to Idaho—a brand new market, with no Chick-fil-A restaurants. We knew no one, and it was a bit daunting…but we had faith that God was directing us to where we needed to be.
In 2012 we opened our first free standing restaurant, Chick-fil-A, Village at Meridian. There he grew the restaurant from 3.3 million in sales to our peak, at 15 million. He again, achieved Symbol of Success, three times! Brad genuinely loves his job, and goes in to work every day. Continuous improvement—personally and professionally is something he strives for on a daily basis.
Brad’s ultimate dream was to become multi-unit—to own and operate two CFA restaurants. Idaho was growing exponentially, and it was time to put some more restaurants in the area. Despite facing some unexpected challenges, and detours along the way, Brad never lost sight of his dream. He stayed committed to the brand, the restaurant, and most importantly, his team.
