"Energy and persistence conquers all things". - Benjamin Franklin

This one hits home a lot this week and for a few weeks to be honest. I've been in a funk and battling with one, ONE, item to conquer and continue giving great service, mindset and content in fitness. You know what has bothered me more than the obvious mentioned....

I am not able to conquer the task. YET.

That bothers me more than getting it done. I'm putting the energy in, staying persistence and banging my head to make it better YET I find myself in the same spot as if I haven't done anything.

Sometimes that happens.

Doesn't mean the goal will not be conquered in time...just have to work a little bit more to get it and take the sour taste in my mouth of not fulfilling what is asked of me and just make it happen by staying true to myself. Keep it simple.

To be even minded is the greatest virtue. Heraclitus

How even minded, steady and ready are you? Too low and not engaged we may miss out on what opportunities are around us. Too high and always going we lose perspective and appreciation.

Sure the highs and lows are going to happen in this journey we call life, but we don't have to be too high or low when those times come. And they will come.

Let's work towards staying grounded, prepared for whatever is handed to us.

Throwback Thursday back to Boulder.

working his skills post a very fun photo shoot with the team last week in Collab with .

He must have looked into the future as I have been doing some reflecting of late. My mind, my fitness game and home life are amazing, but professionally still trying to find my groove within the .fit family.

It's a blessing to be here, the dynamics are constant and always keeping content fresh, safe and effective. My professional mental game was starting to come down a bit.

This is where Jason's foreshadowing (he wasn't aware of) with this photo and capition "Keep looking up" helped me more than he knows and perfect timing since last week.

Even I need a reminder to keep the main thing the main thing and when challenges arise to keep my eyes on the prize. Life is always changing and that is good, but as humans we sometimes fight change.

Stay open, always learn and adapt, but never forget to be you. Jason thank you for this reminder through this portrait. Hope to work with you again soon sir!

Set your eyes on the prize.

Start the week full of Life.

Try something new, get outdoors, help someone however needed or just give the biggest smile to the next person you see. Whatever it is make it full of energy and life.

Join me live on Connect Low Impact 30 Jazz at 11 a.m., Monday Reset Strength 20 at 12 p.m. and Strength 10 Core Summer Abs series at 12:30 p.m. in studio .fit.

Each will have it's flavor and purpose for the day. Don't want to miss it!

Mid afternoon head into . Will go IG live and see if my body is ok from last weeks travels. Had a setback Friday from squats that sent things a little south, but treatments and training over the weekend it has improved. Not back north of 100% yet for 100%+ for 3 rep back squats, but that's ok...movement is key.

Finish the day of fitness with a long and steady workout of the day and accessory pieces.

Fitness is a journey, fitness is wellness,, fitness is my LIFEstyle. Make fitness apart of your life for 20-45 minutes today, 3-6x a week.

My 6 year old self about lost it when told I was going to have art work of me as a super hero...SAY WHAT!?!?! I asked!!!

So awesome and legit as I've had many super heros both fictional (maybe still real to me, haha) and in reality over the years.

Like to pretend I'm a super hero in this fitness journey keeping each person I interact with motivated, challenged and encouraged to new levels!

The journey continues!

3weeks ago I was offered and accepted a full time position as an Exercise Instructor with .fit

The decision did not come easy as I have gained so many relationships, positions and fitness mentality over the years, but this allows me to continue those areas into the homes and gyms of many at one time across the globe!

I am excited for what the future holds, will always live in the present and will never forget my past. It is what has made me the trainer/coach I have become and continue to grow and learn supporting many in person and beyond.

Another chapter has begun in the journey of health, wellness and fitness. Teaching the understanding and methods of making the game look easy. Until then, catch you on the leaderboard.

Today was my first .fit ride and I was nervous to say the least, but think my debut went off well!

Shout out to everyone at Echelon for being supportive and awesome. Big shout to Lou and Nancy Forsythe McCaffrey who have looked forward to this day to happen. Jama Oliver for educating me...have more lessons to come to sharpen up.

Big take away from miss and make on second and third attempt...the feet. On the miss right away I let the bar pull me to my toes on the liftoff. Corrected that mistake on the third attempt, but another fault popped up...not finishing the second pull a little more into the hip. Slightly early which lead to a harder receive/catch than it should have been.

That is the beauty and necessity of recording lifts. Can't hide from the camera and gives instant feedback. Always record your lifts...even if you have eyes on.
