Hey there, June... didn’t know you’d be here so fast ⏰... Sooo is anybody else still ✨mentally✨ living in January?
..Feeling caught in your pj’s, bed hair, and half-drank coffee when you hear a KNOCK on the front door?

To my small biz dreamers, did anybody else think they’d have finished all their Q1 + Q2 goals by now?

Yeah, me too.

But you know what? I’m still insanely proud of the past 5 months. Sometimes “surviving” is more than enough in business, especially when you’re building your small biz while juggling all the other life things.

I’m welcoming June with open arms & open heart. I’m so excited to be vaccinated and to reconnect in person with all the people I’ve missed. And I’m beyond thrilled to share some news soon that will definitely impact my business... stay tuned for that!

Where do you keep the key details of your growing small biz? (PLEASE don’t tell me it’s all in your head!)

As a lawyer to both big & small businesses, I’ve seen everything from the sophisticated monthly strategy meetings for marketing and finance... to the disheveled solo-preneur just trying to keep her head above water.

Whatever size and stage you’re in, my favorite and simplest piece of advice is this... start writing things down. Yes, on paper (not your phone notes app)! Get organized & let yourself brain dump into a notebook dedicated entirely to your business.

That’s why I created the Idea to Launch workbook- it takes the guesswork out of planning your business. With fill-in-the-blank prompts and questions on every fundamental aspect of your biz, this workbook will become the home for all your key business plans, learnings, + strategies.

And obvs, as your fav lawyer friend, I was sure to include clear checklists and guided around the legal steps too :)

✅ Are you a checklist kinda person?

🦋 As an enneagram 7 (a scattered, yet optimistic enthusiast) with chronic “shiny penny syndrome”... I honestly ✨NEED✨ checklists to get things done.

☕️ Without a tether, I’d say I probably have ~15 different thoughts or ideas a minute.

🖊 What’s my go-to tether, you may ask? It’s writing. things. down. Checklists! To-do lists! Post-it’s!

📚 I just finished reading Checklist Manifesto, and it fed my soul! (Shout-out to for hosting book club!)

🗓 Now I’m feeling inspired to revisit all my fav checklists for my own small biz, including ✔️market research, ✔️product development, ✔️marketing strategy, and ✔️legal!

❓If you needed a checklist to help you prioritize in your biz RIGHT NOW, what would it be?

Who else feels extra satisfied when they use their weekly planner?! ✅

🗓 I’ve always LOVED planners, especially the ones your HS and college handed out... they were the perfect size and perfect place to jot down the key to-do’s + don’t-forgets!

💭 Maybe that’s why I dreamed up (and actually made) my own weekly planner, designed specially for small biz owners like myself to help organize their marketing efforts!!

🖊 This little madam has 6 months of weekly spreads, a monthly goals strategy layout, checklist pages, and even mini-marketing lessons for newbies.

Y’all I’ve been in the “freebie” game since I started my business over a year ago. And I’d love to share some learnings 🌈❤️🦋✨

✨ For anybody unfamiliar, a freebie (aka lead magnet) is free gift you offer to your audience in exchange for their (1) attention, (2) trust, & (3) email address. Email marketing is alive and well, plus we never know when our online platforms may shut down (ie tik tok, IG).

✨ Like any good entrepreneur, I’ve tested different freebie options to see what my audience wants. I’ve had a biz goal-setting guide, a simple biz plan template, both of which together grew my list to 100.

✨BUT GUYS! I recently launched my latest freebie based on, you guessed it— learning from my audience’s needs and desires—- and WOW!
