In an effort to increase HBCU student participation in gymnastics, I've created the HBCU Gymnastics Team! This program will function as an at-large team that allows athletes to participate at the national championships in club level gymnastics for NGA, AAU, and NAIGC. I'm seeking members of the community who would like to serve on the team's volunteer advisory board - members who are 18+, have no legal restrictions working with children, and who want to further the sport of gymnastics. You do not have to be a former gymnast, an HBCU graduate, nor do you have to be Black to be on the advisory board. Just be passionate about gymnastics and helping students compete. Please consider applying and let's grow HBCU gymnastics. Go to this link and scroll to the bottom to apply.
If your college does not have a gymnastics center, most cities have private gyms that allow adult athletes to train. Call and ask for open gym or adult classes.
