His violation of probation terms stemmed from a recent arrest on December 7th for co***ne possession. While there is no set release date for the rapper, his hearing is reportedly scheduled for December 19th.

A former Facebook diversity strategist pleaded guilty to defrauding more than $4 million from the social media company, the U.S. Justice Department revealed on Tuesday.
According to prosecutors, Barbara Furlow-Smiles, who oversaw many of Facebook’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEl) programs, executed a years-long scheme to set up fake business deals in exchange for kickbacks to fund her
“lavish lifestyle.”
During her time at Facebook, Furlow-Smiles “had access to company credit cards and the ability to approve invoices as part of her role at the company,” the DOJ reported. With this access, she linked her company cards to PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App accounts owned by friends, relatives, and former business associates (along with a hairstylist, a babysitter, and others) and transferred money for goods and services never actually provided to the company. A percentage of the stolen funds were kicked back to Furlow-Smiles in cash.

A Los Angeles judge ruled on Monday that there was sufficient evidence for rapper A$AP Rocky to stand trial amid accusations that he fired a weapon at a former friend and collaborator outside a California hotel two years ago.

Superior Court Judge M.L. Villar announced the ruling during a preliminary hearing after hearing more than a day of testimony, KCAL-TV reported.

Villar said “the totality of the video and testimony” shows there is sufficient evidence for the defendant to go to trial, according to The Associated Press. The judge added that preliminary hearings have a much lower evidence standard than a trial, and that she was only finding probable cause.

Pivotal, formerly known as Opener, just introduced a new eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicle going on sale in January.

The Pivotal Helix, a single-passenger electric aerial vehicle (EAV), has been in development since 2011.

A large number of such vehicles are coming to market in 2024, with most having been in development for a number of years.

Like others, the Helix is operated by joystick, with fly-by-wire electrical controls.

It is a tilt aircraft with fixed rotors and tandem wings. It is a light aircraft, meaning it comes under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 103 ultralight rating.

Uber has launched a “Return a Package” feature to have drivers pick up packages and drop them off at local shipping stores.

The ride-hailing and food delivery company said Wednesday that the new feature in Uber Connect will allow people to send items the same day.

Drivers can collect up to five prepaid sealed packages and take them to a local post office, UPS or FedEx store, according to the company.

Uber said the service is aimed at helping individuals with a “much-avoided chore: taking care of the packages you need to return but have been ignoring.”

Trump gets kicked off Forbes 400 list of richest Americans

NEW YORK — As Donald Trump scrambles to defend his business empire in court, the former president has suffered another blow: dropping off The Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans.

Trump’s net worth tumbled by 19%, or $600 million, to an estimated $2.6 billion total. That left him $300 million shy of the Forbes cutoff when the magazine unveiled the list Tuesday.

That means that for the second time in three years, Trump did not make the cut for the annual rankings that he’s long seemed obsessed with and has even been accused of conning his way onto in the past.

Apple says it will fix software problems blamed for making iPhone 15 models too hot to handle

Apple is blaming a software bug and other issues tied to popular apps such as Instagram and Uber for causing its recently released iPhone 15 models to heat up and spark complaints about becoming too hot to handle.

The Cupertino, California, company said Saturday that it is working on an update to the iOS17 system that powers the iPhone 15 lineup to prevent the devices from becoming uncomfortably hot and is working with apps that are running in ways “causing them to overload the system.”
