Have you ever had a loved one die and then wished you had had the opportunity to sit down with them and learn more about their life, the history they have lived through, their time in the military, or anything else you were simply curious about?

I know I was able to hear some of the stories from my grandparents before they died but I know there were many stories/questions left untold or unanswered.

Being involved with Grief and Bereavement care as long as I was, I noticed that families we worked with often had the desire to know more about their loved one's life.

Redbird Creative Endeavors LLC is now proud to offer Legacy Videos as part of their services.

What is a Legacy Video?

​A legacy video is a videotaped, mildly produced interview with a loved one that is designed to gather historical information about their lives and the history that they have lived through.

​How do you do a Legacy Video?

​First, we meet with family members and gather background information about your loved one and questions that you and your family would like asked during the interview. We like to come up with questions that encourage your loved one to tell stories about their lives. Those are the most interesting interviews. We also like to have you collect some pictures or other memorabilia that will make the question you ask more interesting.

​Second, we take the information gathered and put together a set of interview questions to be used during the interview and decide if you want to ask the questions or would prefer for us to ask the questions.

Third, if you want us to do the interview, we schedule a date and time to meet the subject of the interview in order to build a rapport with them. This will make the final interview much better.

Fourth, we pick a time and place to conduct the interview. This is best done in a place that is familiar and comfortable for the loved one. Their home is usually one of the best places because it contains memories that surround them and sometimes foster more elaborative answers to the interview questions.
