The winner of the Newsome World Awards for Record Label of the Year in 2024 and nominations from the 2025 Gospel Choice Music Awards and Prayze Factor Awards, Xpress Music Group will have a roster of aspiring and established artists in Gospel music such as traditional, contemporary, praise and worship, quartet, choirs and hip hop on the national and global platforms. In addition to the black Gospel market, Xpress Music Group is also establishing our reach in the CCM market (Christian Contemporary Music). The label became a vision for Dr. Birdsong as an undergraduate student at Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to enrolling at Beulah Heights University for his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Education, Dr. Birdsong was already studying the business of the Gospel music industry during his teens and early twenties. In 1996, Dr. Birdsong was a student at his alma mater, Fairfield High School in Fairfield, California. At 16-years-old, he along with a classmate would often visit websites of their favorite award winning, Billboard chart topping artists and record labels at the campus library during their one-hour lunch period. Dr. Birdsong wanted to learn more about the Gospel music industry while developing his vocal and songwriting skills. The following year, Dr. Birdsong begins to read articles in Gospel Today Magazine and became a subscriber from 1998 to 2003. He has now established himself as one of the most admired and respected voices in the Gospel music industry throughout the United States and around the world. We are on the mission to take Gospel music to the next level of greatness while building a legacy for future generations. Motto:
