Kunafa Cream Dessert in a Jar
This is a creamy layered dessert using kunafa (kataifi) pastry, often found in Middle Eastern sweets.
Ingredients:
For Kunafa Layer:
1 cup kunafa dough (shredded phyllo pastry)
2 tbsp butter (melted)
2 tbsp sugar
For Cream Layer:
2 cups milk
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cornflour
½ cup cream or condensed milk
¼ tsp cardamom powder (optional)
For Garnish:
Crushed pistachios
Roasted kunafa crumbs
Instructions:
1. Prepare Kunafa Layer:
Shred the kunafa dough and mix with melted butter and sugar.
Roast in a pan over medium heat until golden and crispy. Set aside.
2. Prepare Cream Layer:
In a saucepan, add milk, sugar, and cornflour. Stir to dissolve completely.
Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
Add cream or condensed milk and cardamom powder, mix well.
3. Assemble:
In jars or glasses, layer roasted kunafa at the bottom.
Pour the cream mixture over it.
Top with more kunafa crumbs and crushed pistachios.
4. Chill for 1-2 hours before serving.

Cinnamon Rock Candy
Ingredients:
3 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups light corn syrup
1 cup water
1 teaspoon cinnamon oil (or to taste)
Red food coloring (optional)
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the sugar
In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water.
Stir over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Time: 5–7 minutes
2. Boil to hard crack stage
Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring.
Continue boiling until the temperature reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
Time: 25–30 minutes
3. Add flavor and color
Once the desired temperature is reached, remove the pan from the heat.
Carefully stir in the cinnamon oil and a few drops of red food coloring, if using.
Use caution when adding the oil, as the fumes can be strong.
Time: 2 minutes
4. Pour and set
Immediately pour the hot mixture into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
Do not spread the mixture; allow it to settle naturally.
Time: 10 minutes (cooling slightly)
5. Score the candy
When the candy is almost cool but still firm, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a small knife to lightly score lines across it to make breaking easier.
Time: 5 minutes
6. Break and dust
Once the candy is completely cooled, break it into pieces.
Dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking and store in an airtight container.

Directions

Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sliders
Ingredients:
6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
6 thin slices of cheddar cheese
3 slices of cooked bacon
½ avocado
½ tsp lime juice
½ tsp ground cumin
Instructions:
In a small food processor, combine the avocado, lime juice, and cumin. Blend until creamy. Season with a pinch of salt if desired.
Slice each hard-boiled egg in half lengthwise.
Take the bottom half of an egg and place a slice of cheddar cheese on it.
Cut each bacon slice in half and lay one piece over the cheese.
Add a spoonful of the avocado spread on top of the bacon.
Cap it with the top half of the egg, rounded side up, forming a mini slider.
Insert a toothpick through the center to hold it all together.
Repeat the process with the remaining eggs.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper before serving.
