Bishop T.D. Jakes released a video on his podcast, NXT Chapter with T.D. Jakes, where he openly reacts to his daughter Sarah Jakes Roberts’ near-fatal trampoline accident.

In the episode titled “T.D. Jakes Reacts to Daughter’s Near-Fatal Neck Injury”, he discusses the terrifying phone call he received and the emotional toll the incident took on their family.

If you recall, Sarah Jakes Roberts was playing a game on a backyard trampoline with her daughter, Ella. As she came down, she slipped, fell awkwardly, and landed directly on her neck, immediately hearing several distinct “pops.”

Though the spinal cord itself was not severed, doctors did put Sarah into a rigid neck brace for 4 to 6 weeks to keep her neck completely stabilized.

Bishop Jakes shared that seeing his daughter alive and able to speak was a moment of immense relief.

He noted that the near-tragedy completely shook his family, forcing them to re-evaluate what truly matters.

Moreover, as Bishop Jakes discussed, Sarah’s accident highlights the fragile line we all face between life and death.

Thankfully, Sarah seems to be on the path to healing and recovery! 🙏🏼

Tyra is taking action!

The former host of the reality TV modeling competition show, “America’s Next Top Model,” has filed a defamation lawsuit against Netflix alleging that the platform’s three-part documentary series, used heavy-handed editing to construct a false and defamatory narrative about her.

The lawsuit stems from her participation in the February 2026 documentary series, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.

Banks claims she sat for a three-and-a-half-hour interview but producers only used 16 minutes of the footage.

The suit alleges that the series used selective editing and deliberate omissions to falsely imply that Banks knowingly allowed a contestant to be sexually assaulted on the show and exploited the trauma for ratings.

In addition, the lawsuit notes she was not given the chance to respond to claims made by others, such as judge Miss J. Alexander’s statement that she never reached out after his stroke- a claim she refutes by citing text message records.

A Black family is thankful to be alive after a White man fired bullets at their family gathered outside.

The white man, Jeffrey Tyler Kinzer, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly launching a racially motivated shooting at a Black family reunion.

The incident took place around 9pm on Sunday, June 7, 2026 in Leesburg, Georgia.

Witnesses stated that Kinzer passed by the residence in a car, leaning out of the window to shout racial slurs including the “N-word” at family members standing in the yard.

Approximately five minutes later, Kinzer returned to the neighborhood on foot. He was wearing body armor and carrying an AR-15-style rifle. He the began to fire into the gathering of roughly 20 children and adults, leaving family members afraid and scrambling.

Family members, including a 62-year-old U.S. Marine veteran, returned fire to protect the group.

Zinger was struck and injured by the family’s defensive gunfire.

Responding deputies found Kinzer, and he acknowledged his involvement in the shooting.

Investigators executed a search warrant at Kinzer’s home, recovering the rifle and body armor used during the assault.

Following his medical release from the hospital, Kinzer was jailed in the Lee County Jail charged with aggravated assault.

Local authorities confirm that additional charges are under review against the 41-year old.

One family suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, but thankfully no one was killed.

Given the current hostility directed at Black people in America, it’s strongly advised for Black people to remain vigilant and be SAFE!

The First African Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia is looking for the public’s help.

The church is recognized as the oldest Black church in America and has officially been awarded a $500,000 national preservation grant.

The restoration funding is designated to repair and protect the church’s iconic, heavily weathered stained glass windows, which date back to the 19th century.

While the half-million-dollar grant provides a massive boost, it does not cover the full project cost of $615,000.

Longtime pastor Reverend Thurmond N. Tillman and project organizers are actively appealing to the public for donations to close the gap and protect the sanctuary’s structural integrity.

Organized in 1773 and formally constituted in 1777, the congregation’s history predates the founding of the United States. The current building on Montgomery Street in Savannah was completed in 1859 by both free and enslaved members.

The church operated as a safe house along the Underground Railroad and stood as a central organizing hub during the Civil Rights

Beyond its spiritual importance, the church serves as an essential landmark for cultural tourism and testament to African American resilience.

Thousands braved 80-degree weather and shoulder-to-shoulder crowd for worship service this Sunday.

The event was part of Brandon Lake’s Cowboy Church at CMA Fest 2026.

Cowboy church is a local Christian ministry designed to be highly informal and barrier-free.

As Brandon Lake described it, it is a church built specifically “for the wanderers, the worn-out, the misfits, and the ones who aren’t sure they belong anywhere.”

The event was held at the Chevy Riverfront Stage in downtown Nashville.

Gospel music legend CeCe Winans performed a powerful collaboration of, “I Know a Name” with Lake.

Organizers had to open two separate livestream zones as lines of people stretched for blocks!

The service was briefly paused when Lake and Winans led the crowd in prayer after a fan fainted in the intense morning heat and massive crowd.

She’s a walking miracle!

Gospel singer, Tasha Page-Lockhart, revealed she recently underwent life-saving emergency surgery!

After experiencing excruciating cramping and fatigue, the “Sunday Best” winner was rushed to the hospital where doctors discovered she had a perforated appendix that had began to leak infection into her body.

Untreated, this type of infection can lead to sepsis, a life-threatening illness.

The medical emergency was particularly terrifying because Tasha is currently PREGNANT with a baby girl due this September.

Doctors had to remove her appendix urgently and stop the flow of infection.

After surviving the scary ordeal, Tasha announced she’s now resting and her baby girl is still in the womb awaiting her delivery date!

Her husband, Deangelo Loftin, and her mother, Lisa Page Brooks, have been by her side and supporting her recovery.

Please keep Tasha Page-Lockhart in your prayers as she recovers! 🙏🏼

A New Mexico jury has awarded the estate of Star Trek icon Nichelle Nichols $13 million in a wrongful death and malpractice lawsuit.

The lawsuit was filed against Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, New Mexico, where Nichols was treated in 2022.

The jury found the hospital negligent, determining that the medical staff failed to properly diagnose and treat Nichols before transferring her to an assisted living facility, where she died just hours later.

The lawsuit claimed the hospital’s staff did a “terrible job” diagnosing her condition, and alleged the medical center inappropriately supervised unqualified providers.

Nichelle Nichols was a trailblazing actress best known for her groundbreaking role as Lieutenant Nyota Uhura in the 1960s television series Star Trek. As one of the first Black women to portray a lead, she famously helped break racial barriers, including sharing one of the first in*******al kisses on U.S. network television.

Nichols died on July 30, 2022, at the age of 89 from heart failure and medical negligence.
