Pastor Frederick Haynes III is looking to take his love and fight for the people to the US House of Representatives!

The Senior Pastor of Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas, TX has officially filed for the democratic primary 30th Congressional District, according to public filings.

Pastor Haynes recently returned to the pulpit after a medical leave of absence. However, in a public statement announcing his return, he stated he felt "reenergized and ready" to continue building hope, justice, and healing.

The opportunity for the US House seat became open when Rep. Jasmine Crockett formally announced her Senate campaign at an event late Monday afternoon, where Pastor Haynes was one of the speakers.

Crockett has represented Texas' 30th Congressional District for nearly 2 terms.

Pastor Haynes preached on Sunday that he was waiting on people to “be energized to break out in a movement that makes a difference.” He specifically referenced the nation's income disparity in his sermon.

Jenna Bush Hager has found a new, PERMANENT co-host!

On today's show, Jenna revealed Sheinelle Jones as her permanent co-host for the 4th hour of TODAY.

Starting in January, the show will change from Jenna & Friends to TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle!

Sheineille had taken an extended leave of absence after her husband Uche was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Sadly, her husband, Uche Ojeh, passed away in May 2025.

Sheinelle told Jenna, "It feels like Uche is up there with God like ‘alright let’s make this happen.'"

Jenna & Sheinelle premieres Jan. 12 on NBC!

It's good to know that happiness is possible after tragedy!

Tasha Cobbs Leonard and John Legend brought gospel to late night television on December 8th!

The duo performed their Grammy nominated hit single, “Church” from Leonard’s latest album TASHA on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!

With the song, the two earned a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Performance/Song, The track has recently scored a #1 hit on the Billboard Gospel Airplay charts!

First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries has installed Rev. Sandra K. James as their new pastor, She becomes the church's first female pastor in the church’s 158-year history!

The church, founded in 1867, is recognized as one of the oldest African American congregations in Prince William County.

An official installation ceremony for was held Nov. 22nd.

Rev. James brings more than 40 years of ministry work to the role.

She takes over from Rev. Luke Torian who announced his retirement in January.

The transition is complete at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.

Today, Jonathan Evans was officially installed as the new Senior Pastor of the Dallas megachurch that his father, Tony Evans, founded nearly 50 years ago.

Pastor Tony Evans preached the sermon for son's installation ceremony before taking a seat in the audience with his wife, Dr. Carla.

Jonathan's entire family was in attendance for the momentous occasion, including his siblings, wife Kanika, children, aunts, and extended family.

Jonathan referenced the biblical passage, Joshua 1:3 in the closing message to the congregation, that states: "Every place your foot treads, I have given it to you already just like I have done before with Moses."

The 44-year old closed by saying that his installation was also an installation for the entire church as it prepares for the next phase of its ministerial journey.

I’m a heartfelt testimony, singer Naomi Raine revealed that she had a miscarriage while performing during an Easter service when she was 24 years old.

In her testimony on the podcast, she discussed not speaking about the tragi event and attempting to soften the devastation by adding the Christian spin, “God is good.”

However, she revealed that not speaking about the miscarriage caused her more physical and emotional pain.

In addition, she shared that it’s ok for Christians to be honest with themselves and each other about difficult life moments and to recognize that God is present even in the most difficult circumstances.

The 38-year old former Maverick City Music singer is now the mom of 3 children.

Pastor Jonathan Evans has been the primary interim preacher since his father stepped down. The official installation date for Pastor Jonathan Evans is set for this Sunday, December 7th.
