The mission of Sojourner Films is to make content that is going to promote the gospel through film.

Through web series and films, we hope to see a generation impacted for Christ and empowered to step into their calling.

Heading back to Asbury University again tomorrow! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted (Facebook reminded me). This past year has been quite busy with work-work, but I’m back on track with multiple projects that I am super excited to finish!

The return to Asbury is to begin wrapping up a reprise to the original film documenting the Asbury Outpouring. The original film had a college aged audience in mind from the viewpoint of gen z. I felt the Lord speak to me that it was to help empower other students to radically seek Him just as the students at Asbury University did.

This new film will have an audience of the church in general in mind - focusing first on what happened at Asbury, how it expanded outwards, and how the church can participate (and not be on the sidelines) for the fruit that comes from this spiritual awakening in generation z!

Looking forward to interviewing this week who can give us some insight into what the Lord is doing in the hearts of college kids!

Sojourner Films has documented a significant Outpouring, filmed a story of unity within the church body, helped launch Fantail Academy which is training and equipping media missionaries to tell stories of what Jesus is doing around the world, as well as making inroads to a feature length documentary film about going after the call that God has for every believer. I am even beginning to write a book to train and equip Kingdom filmmakers on how to produce their first testimony film! (this would pair nicely with the students going through Fantail Academy)

My wife and I have largely been supporting the work through these endeavors, but God has put it on my heart to not go about this alone any longer, but to share the vision of what He is doing through these programs with others who are looking for good ground to invest in Kingdom work.

If you would like to hear more about what God is doing through this ministry, and have time to grab a coffee, I’d love the opportunity to share! Through raising monthly support, I can continue with the efforts of telling stories to advance the Kingdom as well as invest time into Fantail Academy.

We are looking for older cell phones to help emerging media missionaries in Papau New Guinea!

If you have a phone that is probably sitting in a drawer and you want to invest it into a filmmaker who will create stories for Jesus, please reply below or reach out! The cell phone must be current enough to take HD video. We can offer a tax donation contribution so you can claim it as a write off, as we are a 501 c3 charitable organization. All phones will be wiped if they are not currently wiped, so you can rest assured that your data will not transfer to the new owner!

We had the opportunity to capture Jared's story yesterday as we press on with our feature length documentary about going after the call of God. What a pleasure it is being able to film in New Zealand with such picturesque backdrops! Special thanks to my team, Kaye, Libby, and Andrew as well as Jared with Fantail Studios for allowing us to interview him!

Really warming up to a good flat white over a traditional American brewed coffee. When I’m not directly prepping for the film school I am busy dreaming up of refined curriculums for future film schools while simultaneously planning multiple film shoots and a yet to be announced book to help those on their journey telling their first story with film.

Only a couple of more weeks left here in New Zealand before retuning back to Atlanta!

It's been such a great joy working with Jared at Fantail Studios to put on our second film school in Invercargill, NZ! Your passion for film and glorifying Jesus in the process is inspirational and it's a pleasure being able to serve this vision of training and equipping with you!
