For the longest time, I feared stepping into photography for couples. As a videographer, I felt safe behind moving frames — but still images were unfamiliar territory. Surrounded by so many incredible photographers, I often wondered if I’d ever be “good enough.”

But growth happens on the other side of fear. So I pushed through the doubt, learned, experimented, failed, improved… and discovered that storytelling is storytelling, whether it’s captured in motion or in a single frozen moment.

If you’re scared to expand, pivot, or start something new, let this be your reminder: You don’t have to be perfect to begin. You just have to be brave enough to try.
