* Catch the parade at 9 a.m. beginning at Tannery Row, 554 West Main Street, and will end at South Hill Street. This year's parade will feature TWO awesome marching bands, the Buford Band of Wolves and the Seckinger Jaguar Band. Rumor has it that 🎅 will appear!
* Festival begins at 10 a.m. at 301 East Main Street and ends at 3 p.m.
* Performances will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the Amphitheater Stage.
* Paws & Claus Holiday Dog Costume Contest is at 1:45 p.m. on the Amphitheater Stage.

Wrap up your holiday shopping while enjoying delicious drinks, festive vibes and exclusive discounts across Downtown Buford. The event benefits a local non-profit, Above the Rim.

Above the Rim was founded by longtime Buford residents, Otis Brown and Elise Zamora. The parents of six have dedicated their lives to supporting local youth and creating safe, inspiring spaces for them to thrive. Above the Rim Buford provides children with the mentorship, meals, structure, and love they deserve. Today, the organization regularly serves at least 30 to 40 children through its programs. This isn’t just their mission — it’s their community.

Tickets to the Christmas Sip & Shop are $20. This includes:

Registration for the 2026 Little Miss Buford and Sweetheart of Georgia Pageant is live! The pageant will take place on January 24, 2026, at the Buford High School Performing Arts Center. The deadline to register is January 3, 2026.

Girls ages 0-18 are eligible to compete. Contestants attending school or residing in the Buford city limits are eligible for the "Little Miss Buford" title. Contestants outside of the Buford city limits or school district are eligible for the "Sweetheart of Georgia" title.

There will be two queens crowned for each age division!

We will offer a "paid" workshop on January 20, 2026, and an optional interview portion for ages 5+ on January 23, 2026.

TOMORROW is THE Best Day in Buford! Its Homecoming Day!

Schools are on early release so that everyone can catch the Homecoming Parade at 3 p.m.

The parade starts at the Buford Arena on Sawnee Avenue and travels past Buford Middle School, the Legion Fields, Buford City Schools Central Office and Buford Elementary School. The parade then turns left onto East Main Street and continues through the heart of Downtown Buford before ending at South Lee Street.

Sawnee Avenue and Main Street will be shut down completely to all traffic at 2:45 p.m. and will remain shut down until the parade is over. If you need to travel down Sawnee or Main Street immediately after the parade, please exercise caution as there will still be a lot of pedestrians, other motorists and city workers out cleaning up any trash/debris from the parade.

If you plan to take in the parade on Sawnee Avenue, it is recommended to arrive early as traffic will be extremely congested in that area, as well as the prime viewing spots go early.

Bring your chair and bags to carry your candy haul home.

Immediately following the parade, Buford Elementary is hosting a tailgate party with food trucks and other fun events.

At 7:30 p.m. the Buford varsity football team hosts Discovery at Phillip Beard Stadium for the Homecoming Game. This year's Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime. Tickets can be purchased at gofan.co.
