It’s been almost a week since at and whew… that room was FULL of ❤️✨😂 — love, light & the kind of laughter that makes your cheeks hurt 😅

S/O to for letting me be part of the magic 🤩 Had a blast getting folks in the door 😊 and hanging with (table neighbours) pure comedy all night 🤣

Finally met the gorgeous & OUR amazing mom 🥰 (we family-family now 😁) and yes, they destroyed the dancefloor💃🏾

My boys never disappoint 🙅🏾‍♀️ Always love seeing & 😚

murdered the mic🎤 and had us singing our hearts out 😍 she then introduced herself to me like we didn’t already know who she was 😌 (ma’am… you’re Cheri Dennis, come on now 👏🏾)

Still soaking it all in…😊

I had the honor of participating in the PRX Creative Design Workshop during the PRX Podcast Creator Summit in Atlanta; a 3-day immersive experience rooted in design thinking and user experience principles🙌🏾

It’s modeled after PRX’s signature design sprints (aka: life-changing), and the goal? 👉🏾 Help us develop real solutions to real challenges in podcasting and media (also can be used in daily life if we being real)👏🏾

We didn’t just talk… we brainstormed, built, broke things, and rebuilt 🫩 In teams of strangers turned collaborators, we reimagined and relaunched an actual podcast for a real listener in the U.S. And we did it all in HOURS, not weeks 😅

The process was fun, intense, collaborative, and beautifully chaotic ☺️ & we pitched our final concepts to none other than Patrick Cherry & Stacy Bond of Apple Podcasts 😳 a wild, incredible moment🙏🏾

The feedback, the learning, the creative sweat... it was all worth it💯

Deepest thanks to the whole PRX crew👏🏾 especially Stephanie, Pouncie & Mike for the guide and Patrick & EJ for being the light (and letting me go all in with it)☺️

Back like I never left 💃🏾 you really showed out again 🙌🏾

The room? Black excellence 🖤 The energy? Black magic 🎩 The conversations? Unfiltered (you know I can’t help myself 😏).

Big love to for bringing me back and letting me do what I enjoy doing… talk my talk, mic in hand, joy on full volume 🤩 I don’t take that lightly. Appreciate you always🙏🏾

Got to catch up with some familiar faces, link with new ones, and interview some dope, powerful women who had me laughing like I forgot we were recording😅

Interviewed the radiant (whose presence alone could be a whole sermon) & now I have to watch Blended Christmas with fresh eyes after learning how it came to be as I’m counting down the days to Becoming Love Fest🎉

One of my absolute favs of the weekend, I didn’t interview them, but I was blessed to sit in on it was pure magic🥰 Every single thing about them ☺️

PRX PODCAST CREATOR SUMMIT DAY-2 was a blast💃🏾

Started off with interviewing my fellow creative design workshop buddy on her learning Swahili (check last post for video on it) 🙌🏾

Learnt more on identifing your POV in my Creative Design Workshop which was intense in all ways 🤩

Supported the fam doing their thang on that stage (monetizing & audio tech) for the win 🎉 with my fellow supporters 💜

Had to catch the homies and see if they would impress me and they did Mike Russo & EJ (i should probably get their IGs right) 😅

Met dope ass people (connection is WILD) and PICKLE BALL became a topic (see video of Mike and Jay discuss pickle ball… audio availble in stories)😁

Ended with fire chat and what a chat it was

Then snacks and drinks to end the daaaaay 🎉 more networking cause we just cant get enough pf eachother 😂

Catch my presenting tomorrow in my workshop with my team and judged by Patrick then moderating the increadible TEAM OF ONE panel at 1:30pm 🙌🏾 i should probably go to bed now 🫣

PRX PODCAST CREATOR SUMMIT DAY-1 did not disappoint…

Started off with my creative design workshop to amazing panels with incredible panelist…🙌🏾

I got to meet Donald Albright & Will Pearson (1/2 of ) and i can’t wait to talk s**t with them 🤩

Reconnected with the fam 💜

Meet a new friend just from a tshirt which turned into a conversation and finding out we know same folks (👋🏾 ) … if you never thought merch is important it really is 😁

And to all the amazing humans i got connected too whom i never would have if we both hadnt showed up (no pics but yo’ol special too) and looking forward to collaborating and supporting eachother 💃🏾

As for Patrick (i tend to always find someone to bully and he just became it cause he’s named “Patrick” lol hope he will be nicer to me on my presentation😅) but incredible human being.

Also reconnected with some podcasters whom we meet here and there and that was AMAZING!!😍

Saving best for last as this presentation had me even though i attend with other motives… thank you for a powerful conversation that all started with food and was about food but also community, and real life s**t!! 🙏🏾
