Eddie Winslow From Family Matters Is Dating One Of The Biggest Transgender Stars In The World?

One of the actors from the popular sitcom Family Matters is all over twitter today and no, it isn’t Jaleel White who played perhaps the most iconic nerd of the ’90s, Steve Urkel. Instead, social media is all abuzz about Darius McCray who played Eddie Winslow, Steve Urkel’s next door neighbor. There are reports that McCray is dating rapper Sidney Starr, one of the most famous transgender stars in the world.

Kirk Franklin's son accuses mother of assault in IG livestream

Kerrion Franklin, the eldest son of gospel artist Kirk Franklin, has accused his mother of assaulting him months after making claims that his father is verbally abusive.

The 33-year-old man was recently seen on Instagram Live lodging the accusation at his mother, Shawn Ewing, who was present and accompanied by another woman seeking to get help for Kerrion Franklin.

A clip of the live feed, reshared by celebrity blog The Neighborhood Talk, shows Franklin on a front porch confronting the two standing feet away when asked to get dressed.

“I’m being abused right now. I’m being assaulted by my own mother. This is on live,” he said.

Franklin then put the camera phone on Ewing, wearing a black t-shirt and camouflage pants, who waved at the camera while standing in the driveway of a home.

“I’m going on live right to make sure I’m protected,” Franklin continued. “They trying to take me to some hospital. This crazy.”

Franklin’s mother reacts by saying, “You’re always looking for attention,” to which he rebutted, “No, I’m looking for protection.”

Kerrion Franklin made wild claims against his mother, Shawn Ewing, during an appearance on Instagram Live.

OnlyFans reverses decision to ban sexually explicit content after backlash

In an abrupt about-face, OnlyFans, the subscription-based content creation platform, has announced it will no longer ban sexually explicit content.

OnlyFans, which rose to popularity among sex workers as a place to sell nude and sexually explicit content, had announced that it would enact a new policy banning that kind of content from its platform this month. The policy was scheduled to go into effect Oct. 1.

But in a reversal likely spurred in part by widespread backlash, the company said Wednesday it would no longer move forward with the policy.

Vandalism of new Brooklyn George Floyd statue may be hate crime, officials say

New York police are investigating vandalism to a new George Floyd statue as a possible hate crime and say vandals defaced the memorial with the website of a white nationalist group.

"Black spray paint was used to deface the sculpture (face) and to cover text on the pedestal," the department said about the Brooklyn incident, which was reported early Thursday.

Police said white spray paint was used to stencil the website of Patriot Front, described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as "a white nationalist hate group" with roots in the deadly, far-right gathering in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.

Vandals painted a hate group's website on the statue, which was unveiled on Juneteenth.

Atlanta robbers targeting victims on gay dating app, police warn

They met someone on a popular dating app, started talking and eventually agreed to go out. Then the unsuspecting victims were robbed by that person and carjacked at gunpoint on their first dates.

Authorities are warning members of Atlanta’s LGBT community to remain cautious following a string of robberies that began as conversations on the popular gay dating app Grindr.

Investigators said several men have been robbed in recent months and believe there may be additional victims who have not come forward.

At a news conference Wednesday, Atlanta police said they’ve identified at least eight people who were held up under similar circumstances since February, calling it “a very concerning pattern.”

The men typically introduce themselves on Grindr before chatting up their victims, getting their phone numbers and taking the conversations offline. Eventually, they ask them out.

“From February to May, we have had eight instances where male victims were lured to remote locations by use of the Grindr app,” said Sgt. Rodney Jones, who works in APD’s robbery unit. “After the date concludes, the suspect will rob the victim, often taking their wallets, keys or even vehicles.”

Late last month, one man said he was carjacked by someone he met on the app after picking up the suspect and driving him to an area off Hightower Road. Shortly after they arrived, however, his date pulled out a gun and told him: “Give me the car and everything you got.”

The suspect then drove off in the victim’s car, police said. The vehicle was later recovered, but investigators are still trying to figure out who is responsible for the string of robberies.

Most of the incidents have taken place in northwest Atlanta, but some have occurred in Zone 3 in the city’s southeastern quadrant, authorities said. The victims are typically lured to remote locations after their dates and then robbed.

Chris Cuomo Believes Police Reform Won’t Happen Until ‘White People’s Kids Start Getting Killed’

In the last week alone, protests have erupted over the deaths of 13-year-old Adam Toledo and 20-year-old Daunte Wright—two young people who died at the hands of police over the last month.

As conversations of police reform, accountability, and abolition have once again become widespread, CNN’s Chris Cuomo said that U.S. policing methods will only be reformed if officers were to kill the children of white people. “How many more?” Cuomo said. “Die of the pandemic, dying from police shootings. George Floyd, Daunte Wright. I wonder if you’ll remember their names six months from now because they’ll be replaced by so many others.”

He slammed delays in police reforms and ridiculed those who put the fault of the shootings on the victims. “Why do that? Because you wanna make the problem them. Takes the onus off the idea that you’re wrong about policing needing to change.” He continued, “Forget that police are trained to deal with non-compliance with force that is not lethal. Hey, comply or die.”

He implied that if white people’s kids start getting killed, then that would lead to gun law reform and better gun control. “And you know what the answer is. You really do. You don’t like it, I don’t like it, it scares me,” he said. “Shootings, gun laws, access to weapons. Oh, I know when they’ll change. Your kids start getting killed, white people’s kids start getting killed.”

“What is going on with these police? Maybe we shouldn’t even have police,” he said in a sarcastic voice. “That kind of mania, that kind of madness, that’ll be you. That’ll be the majority because it’s your people.”

Cuomo added that unity is what we need for police reform. “Us and them, us and them. There’s never a solution that doesn’t begin with we. We, the people.”

Chris Cuomo said he only believes that there will be reform to policing methods if white people’s kids become victims of police shootings and violence.

Lil Nas X Described Coming Out in the Sweetest Way

Since coming out in 2019, Lil Nas X has become a modern-day queer icon and now he’s using that status to explain to kids what coming out is. In a new episode of All Def Music’s Arts & Raps series, Lil Nas catches up with Dilan and Zaria, longtime hosts of the series, to discuss everything from his music records and his Nicki Minaj Halloween costume to societal expectations and what coming out of the closet exactly means.

"[Coming out of the closet] means you're like, 'Hey everybody, I'm this thing, and you guys didn't even know that, but now you know,” Lil Nas tells Dilan and Zaria. “Why are people in the closet in the first place?” Zaria follows up, which prompts a candid response from Lil Nas X. “Because you know, back to the thing I said earlier about what we think about what other people think about us? Once we tell somebody we are this thing or that thing, their mind shifts completely and it doesn't matter what you are to them.”

Dilan immediately relates to Lil Nas’s explanation but not quite as expected. “I have a closet story,” he prefaces. “My older cousin, he keeps pushing my brother into the closet. And we close the door – because we had a big walk-in closet – and blink the lights on and off, and then say like '666' or 'Bloody Mary.' And then he swore he saw something." As Dilan finishes his story, Lil Nas can’t help but burst a laugh. “That's exactly what happened to me. That's exactly what I meant when I said I was coming out of the closet. That's exactly what I meant,” he adds.

It’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious.

DJ Mister Cee Educates Maino On His Attraction To Transwomen: “It’s What I Do”

In the past, legendary hip-hop DJ Mister Cee opened up briefly about his attraction to transwomen and the sexual acts he’s engaged in with them, doing so in an effort to clear the air regarding his sexuality. (He’s said he’s not gay.)

But during a recent appearance on Maino Presents: Kitchen Talk podcast, Mister Cee elaborated on his sexual preferences and schooled the Brooklyn emcee on the correct terminology to use when referencing transwomen.

“You know my story. You know how I am. You know what I do. My story is well documented,” Cee said in response to questions about his involvement with transwomen and in regards to making news for soliciting prostitutes, including a cross-dressing one, and dealings with a man in drag. “That’s what I do, bro. You know me. It’s what I do.”

The DJ openly talked about his previous arrests and explained exactly what he considers himself to be sexually. “I’ve answered those questions back when I was arrested,” he began. “I consider myself try sexual. I’ll try anything. Not anything, but the point I’m making is that the only thing I’ve done with transexuals is that I’ve got top. I never penetrated.”

Maino referred back to the circumstances surrounding Cee’s 2013 scandal where a transwoman reportedly recorded a conversation of them bartering over the cost of sex acts and where they would be performed. “Let me correct you. It wasn’t a dude that taped me,” Cee clarified. “It was a transexual woman that taped me. It was not a man.”

When the rapper expressed his confusion, Cee explained. “You wanna learn from the master? They will get at you if you don’t talk the right terminology. You will have problems.”

Maino then asked, “Do you prefer that it’s…a man that looks like a woman?
To which Cee replied, “Maino, Maino, Maino, stop being difficult. That’s what a transexual woman is, a man that dresses like a woman.”

“Is that what you like though?” the host asked, and Cee responded, “Yes! I already made that clear. Where we going here?!”

Mister Cee had several run-ins with the law and was arrested in 2011 and 2013 for lewd acts and attempting to solicit prostitutes. In 2014, he resigned from his role at HOT 97 after more than 20 years to “take care” of himself in the wake of his legal woes and personal struggles.”

Watch a brief clip of the podcast embedded. Clearly, he’s in a better place these days — and isn’t interested in hiding his preferences.

545 college athletes urge NCAA to pull championships from states that ban transgender athletes

More than 540 student-athletes across the country signed a letter calling on the NCAA to stop hosting championships in states that prevent transgender athletes from competing in college sports. The letter, addressed to NCAA President Mark Emmerts, follows proposals in over 20 states that target trans athletes.

"We, the undersigned NCAA student-athletes, are extremely frustrated and disappointed by the lack of action taken by the NCAA to recognize the dangers of hosting events in states that create a hostile environment for student-athletes," said the letter. "It is imperative that we know we are safe and supported in the NCAA no matter where we travel to compete."

The news comes as states across the country have introduced anti-trans legislation.

Mississippi governor signs bill banning trans athletes from school sports

On Thursday, Gov. Tate Reeves signed “the Mississippi Fairness Act” into law, requiring the state’s schools to designate teams by sex assigned at birth and prohibiting transgender student athletes from participating in school sports in accordance with their gender identity.

In a March 4 tweet, Reeves said the law would “protect young girls from being forced to compete with biological males for athletic opportunities.”

The bill's sponsor, state Sen. Angela Hill, told The Associated Press that she had been approached by “numerous coaches” who felt there was a need for a policy “because they are beginning to have some concerns of having to deal with this.”

Neither Hill nor other supporters of the bill presented evidence of transgender athletes competing in Mississippi schools or universities. Reeves and Hill are Republicans.

Proponents say they are protecting women's sports, but LGBTQ advocates say the law could open up trans youth to more harassment and violence.

Kentucky lawmakers advance bill to criminalize insulting police

😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

Lawmakers in Kentucky have advanced a bill that, in part, seeks to criminalize insulting or taunting police officers in a way that could provoke a violent response.

The bill says a person can be charged with the Class B misdemeanor of disorderly conduct if the individual “Accosts, insults, taunts, or challenges a law enforcement officer with offensive or derisive words, or by gestures or other physical contact, that would have a direct tendency to provoke a violent response from the perspective of a reasonable and prudent person.”

A Class B misdemeanor in Kentucky is punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a fine of up to $250.

Meghan Markle’s Former ‘Suits’ Co-Star Wendell Pierce Blasts Her Oprah Interview

Wendell Pierce, Meghan Markle’s former Suits co-star, is ripping the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah.

Pierce, who played Markle’s father on the drama, told Britain’s LBC talk-radio station Monday (March 😎 that the interview is unimportant compared to the reality of the global coronavirus pandemic.

“Today, 3,000 people are going to die in America from COVID,” Pierce said, according to the Daily Mail. “A couple of hundred people are going to die, even this hour, in the UK.”

Pierce says that instead of focusing “on the throes of death that we’re in” and “everyone” from Meghan and Harry and the Royal Family to Oprah Winfrey and CBS have been too busy focusing on the interview which he labeled “insignificant.”

It’s all “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing,” Pierce said of the interview.

“It was quite insensitive and offensive that we are all complicit in this sort of palace … gossip in the midst of so much death,” pierce added.

Pierce also told the station that he and Markle never really talked about race in-depth during their time together working on Suits.

“We didn’t have long discussions about it, besides what was in the script and what was happening in our personal lives,” he said.

He called the sit-down “insignificant.”
