Good morning… Tyrell Plair, representing PlaTy MultiMedia and Publishing:
Happy Juneteenth… I hope this message finds you all in good spirits, and ready to celebrate your ancestors.

Juneteenth, June 19, 1865, marks the day the enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally received the news of their freedom – two years (not two days like i said in my speech 🎤 ), after the Emancipation Proclamation. This serves as a powerful reminder that information, even vital information, can be withheld if we don’t actively seek it out.

Even today, we sometimes deny ourselves the knowledge we need to grow and share. Let’s not just celebrate this one day; let’s celebrate all the days of our ancestors by becoming truly literate and paying attention to what’s going on around us. Search for the information, retain it, and share it with others.

A powerful mind can achieve anything. Let’s honor our history by actively engaging with it.
Enjoy this day, have fun, and celebrate your ancestors!

Local libraries and bookstores like Barnes & Noble have great summer reading programs where kids can log the books they read and even earn rewards!

Four years ago, Just Like My Dad was released sparking conversations and building bonds between children and their parents.
Today, that mission lives on.
What started as one book has grown into a series, now reaching homes, schools, bookstores and libraries nationwide. Just Like My Dad, continues to inspire dialogue and reminding families and anyone who impacts a child’s life of the importance of being present.

Used in mentoring programs and community events, the series helps strengthen connections between youth and positive role models.
As PlaTy celebrates this journey, we remain dedicated to promoting literacy and uplifting families.

Overcoming Writer’s Block ✍️

We’ve all been there sitting in front of a computer screen or with pen in hand, and nothing comes to mind.
Don’t panic. It happens to the best of us.
Here are a few tips to get those words flowing:

1. Take a Break
Step away for a bit, walk around, or even a long walk on the beach. Let your thoughts settle.
You’ll be surprised how much clearer your ideas become when you return.

2. Change Your Space
A change of scenery can do wonders.
Move to a different spot in your home or office, or even go to a local coffee shop to help reset your focus.

3. Just Write
Don’t worry about perfection. Get those ideas out, even if they’re messy. You might stumble upon a story you didn’t even know you had!

4. Go to the Library
Reading something new or inspiring might just be the spark you need to reignite your writing.
Remember, find what works for YOU and let the words flow.

Being a CEO is akin to being the captain of a large ship. Occasionally, the ship encounters turbulent waters, which signifies challenging times or problems to resolve when establishing a new company.

When circumstances become difficult, it is essential to persevere and not succumb to defeat. This is referred to as pushing through. Furthermore, having others assist you, even if only to a small extent, can significantly impact the outcome. Those who provide assistance may be friends or a team that collaborates with you.

Without a team, achieving success is likely, no matter the business, or will be considerably more challenging.
