Who is THEHIPHOPJIBOP?

JIB CRANE OPERATOR

GERARD ”GRIPP” RICHARDSON, an AWARD-WINNING jib crane operator based out of Columbia, SC. He has an extensive career experience as a professional jib crane operator. In 2014 he filmed the Winter games Halfpipe, Aerials, and Moguls in Sochi, Russia. This experience would change the game for Gripp as a jib crane operator.

So when he made a come back in 2018 to capture the epic win of Shaun White at the Halfpipe in Pyeongchang, South Korea Winter Games was evident that Gripp was not an amateur at his game.

Starting out as a hip hop music producer and engineer, he applied those skills into learning the science and language of the film world which in return worked out extremely well for him today. However attending film school in 2012 proved to be a little challenging at first due to the learning curve. Gripp has a deep knowledge of music production and was able to apply that knowledge to operating a jib crane.
