Recently someone said I was “too much” to be seen with in public, that I might mess up their public image. I just chuckled.

Because what you see, the boots, the heels, the outfits; that’s just expression. What you don’t see is the story behind it. I’ve endured years of pain, abuse, and rejection for simply being me.
When I was younger, my birth mother made me wear oversized clothes so I wouldn’t look “too gay,” even pushed me into football so they could “knock the gay out of me.” 💔 But guess what? None of that changed who I was, it just made me stronger.

See, a man isn’t a man because of what he wears. I know plenty who look the part but crumble under pressure. Strength isn’t in the outfit, it’s in the heart 💜

I know who I am and whose I am, and I’m grateful that God doesn’t judge by outward appearance. He looks at the heart, and my heart is solid.

So here’s to everyone finding the courage to be exactly who they are, loudly, proudly, and unapologetically💪🏽

And FYI… catch me outside of this, it’s probably in athletic wear😂

If you would’ve told me that on this very day, I was planting seeds in the same bathroom I’d one day own, I wouldn’t probably would’ve said, “Who, me👀⁉️”

If you would’ve told me that in this very building I’d find family and purpose, I would’ve said, “Okay, I’ll see.”

But today, we see,every step was ordered by God🙌🏾
