The fabulous frocks of 1933 caught a sweet spot in silhouette. The hemline a few inches above the ankle was longer than the daring styles of the late ’20s, and will steadily work it's way up in the following years. A few drilled holes in a fence, add colorful dollar-store marbles, and suddenly the sun turns plain wood into a sparkling, glowing stained glass delight! 🌞💎 It’s like sneaking a little magic rainbow into everyday life. Definitely adding this to my weekend project list!

Throwback Thursday with the talented Isabel Sanford! Isabel's mother did not want her to go into showbusiness, saying it was "the road to degradation." We're glad she didn't listen! She started out with amateur nights at the famed Apollo, and made her professional debut off-Broadway in 1956. Having an unhappy domestic life, she headed to Los Angeles in the 60's, where she made her first film appearance in "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner." Norman Lear soon cast her as the Bunker's neighbor in "All in the Family," and then "The Jeffersons" with which she won 5 Golden Globes nominations and 7 Emmy nominations.

Statuesque and fiercely talented, Julie Newmar started off by dancing her way through Hollywood musicals and onto Broadway. On TV, her comedic timing brought Rhoda the robot to life in My Living Doll. Her silky, slinky voice absolutely purred as Catwoman on Batman. Julie also patented body shaping bras & pantyhose - practical, fabulous, and a little bit divine.
