Now this is what we call "old school cool." Supermodel Jean Patchett was one of THE top faces in fashion during the 1950s. She worked often with Irving Penn and appeared on over 40 magazine covers, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Jean modeled for Dior, Balenciaga, and Givenchy. One of her most famous photos was Penn’s “Girl in Black & White,” taken in 1950. She retired from modeling in the early 1960s, moving to Long Island and adopting two children, a boy and a girl, with her husband.
