When there is confusion, your goal is Not to confront the person; Your goal is to confront the spirit within/behind/working through the person. The person doesn't need to be put in their place--the spirit does!! This is how we save valuable relationships, dispose in a healthy way toxic one while not loosing ourselves, Godly witness or integrity, but maintain authority (which we have through Christ) and have kingdom rule for the Glory of God.
