It’s novel to create when others may see it as a time to cut and decrease.

That’s why I’m honored to have featured Kimber Boothe and her mission to create additional roles for pharmacists to impact care in healthcare systems, in PharmaSis Magazine Spring 2020 Issue.

She has made an amazing pivot in her career and is now an entrepreneur and consulting health systems around the country.

What is your legacy?

I want to leave a legacy for women in pharmacy to pursue and live the life of their dreams. For this reason, I created PharmaSis Magazine and invited Dr. Melissa Henault to be featured in the Spring 2020 issue.

Here are her thoughts on leaving a legacy.

How much are you willing to give up for your dreams?

Many would look at Dr. Melissa Henault and wonder how she could leave a high-powered career in the pharmaceutical industry for a role in multilevel marketing (MLM)... She did it and calls herself the 'corporate dropout!'

Now, she is the President and CEO of Burnout To All Out, where she helps entrepreneurs unlock their business potentials.

You would be amazed by a woman pharmacist who runs after her dreams!

The thought of a pharmacist chasing a dream to also be a fashion stylist is so exciting! When I met Dr. Danielle Perrodin , she was cautious to admit this dream.

Now, she’s not stopping and is enjoying every step of the journey. Don’t tell her it’s not possible! 💪

You need to know PharmaSis Lauren Castle ✨

I met Dr. Lauren Castle when she asked me to speak as part of a panel back in 2019. Since then, I have watched her trailblazing work in functional medicine for pharmacists.

Functional medicine is highly relevant, and many pharmacists have benefited from the training and community initiatives spearheaded by Dr. Castle.

If you want to read about her impact in pharmacy and the broader world of healthcare, grab your copy of the PharmaSis Magazine Spring 2020 Issue!

Letter From the Editor

In the pharmacy world where things are changing rapidly and many pharmacists feel the shift in what we nostalgically remember as the reasons we chose our profession to different conditions that govern the practice today, there is hope. While healthcare as we know it continues to evolve, pharmacists are finding ways to redefine themselves as well as the care models of the patients they serve and I can only imagine the continued integration of the pharmacists in the lives of patients as a respected and trusted healthcare professional. In October we celebrate American Pharmacists Month and Women Pharmacist Day and I personally want to acknowledge and thank my fellow pharmacists for the work you do to support other healthcare professionals, care for patients and may you continue to build honorable, fulfilling careers that leave a legacy for those coming afterwards.
