How exciting ! Our work was recognized by Fast Company - We recently partnered again with advertising hit makers Ben and Adam Callner to finalize the sound design and audio mix on this wonderful short film. Really proud of how this came together. Wonderfully well written and executed story. After watching it on repeat for about 60 hours straight, it still cracks us up! Enjoy.

The Callner Brothers know exactly how commercials should look and sound, and they put that knowledge to good use with this funny, cliché-destroying short.

What a pleasure to have Zach Wolfe on the latest episode of the Music Is... podcast. This episode is a masterclass in visual art coupled with an ethereal jolt reminding us of the power of continuous learning, experimenting and reinvention.

With respect to Hans, I think it would have been a whole lot more entertaining to score the drive across the Angeles Crest in something like a 1982 Chevrolet Cavalier or a 1981 Mercury Lynx, and I think more people would actually relate to it. I hate to troll Hans, but there is good opportunity for a an awesome spoof here.

Compared to all of the classic metering interfaces that are standard today for mono, stereo and multichannel surround sources, the audio metering of the future looks much different for dynamic 3D spatial sources. Here is an example of the new 3D metering in AudioKinetic Wwise, used for dynamic audio environments like game engines, 360 degree video and ambisonic audio. Cool stuff, though I'm not selling any of my trusty analog VU or Dorrough loudness
meters anytime soon!

Every audio experience begins with a simple vibration. Our eardrum acts in similar fashion to the diaphragm of a microphone by vibrating in response to a signal. Then, in the middle of our ear, three bones called the hammer, anvil and stirrup act as an amplifier to that signal as it proceeds to the

The journey continues with Aaron and Nancy Hill from Greenhouse Atlanta. This is a story about an electrician-philosopher-bass player connecting with a pop star, whose music brought Perry Farrell to expletives. Together they foster a musical experience that is far greater than the sum of its parts.

Hi Everyone! I've recently completed the build of a virtual reality environment called "Centaurus Theater" for the purpose of fully immersive 3D audio/music listening. For those of you that may be local to the Atlanta area, I will be hosting a demo/workshop all day tomorrow at the ATLarge Film Festival (http://www.atlargefest.com) which will be located at the Creative Media Industries Institute on the campus of Georgia State University. If you are interested in experiencing immersive music, come check it out! I'll have 3D spatialized / Ambisonic mixes of some new music and other surprises! 10/21/2017

Hi Everyone! We've been hard at work this month putting together something that we think you'll love! The "Centaurus Theater" is a virtual reality music venue. It is a fully immersive 3D listening environment and audio lab. Are you interested in 3D spatial audio? Immersive music? Ambisonics? Well, we are too and we were frustrated at the lack of VR applications available for experiencing spatial audio. We needed both a listening environment and audio lab for new 3D formats like Ambisonics, binaural, TBE and Dolby Atmos. So we built one!

If you are local to Atlanta, come by our studio at the Creative Media Industries Institute to check it out!

We were contacted a couple of months ago by & with , an Atlanta based ad agency, to see if we wanted to put together a fun nod to Atlanta's best car movie, . How could we say no?

Our very own Director of Operations, Joseph Renter, wanted to create the music for this piece. He reached out to our good friend, Ben Holst, with Tunewelders, an Atlanta based recording studio. After a few sessions in the studio, they nailed the musical portion of this project! With the assistance of our Service Advisor/Movie Star, Tristan Emmons, and his Porsche driving skills, we had everything we needed for a fun, action packet drama showcasing what we're willing to do for our customers.

Kick back, turn up the volume, and enjoy!

ANNOUNCING! In keeping with our mission to build relationships and education within our music community, on Tuesday 5/26, ATL Collective and Tunewelders present Hump Day Hang: Live Stream Solutions. This Hump Day Hang will dig into how musicians can more deeply engage with their fan base online to create new sources of revenue. Board member Marshall Seese (AKA The Tin Man) will interview acclaimed singer/songwriter Eliot Bronson who has built a successful weekly, online concert series over the last two months. Learn how Eliot turned a cancelled tour into a consistent, revenue-producing show he can continue long after the quarantine is lifted. For everyone's safety and health, this panel will take place on Zoom. Get your tickets today!

If you've played an ATL Collective show before, this one's on us. Send us a message or email [email protected] to RSVP.

Hump Day Hang is a panel-driven, professional development series designed to equip Atlanta music makers with space to build relationships and gain knowledge in their specific areas of focus. These Q+A sessions are created for serving and educating local artists and small music business owners.
"You can find people that can help you get to the people that make decisions, or get you into those offices or whatnot. I think that's important." -Steve Sparrow

Throwback to the very first Hump Day Hang, just a little over a year ago! We were able to sit down with Steve Sparrow of Morning Parade and Dan Gleason of GROUPLOVE to discuss the opportunities unique to Atlanta's market for musicians. Being in a smaller city with less label and publishing infrastructure presents it's own challenges, but building relationships and developing your professional circle is key. Find and build those relationships next Wednesday, alongside Tunewelders, when we'll be hosting another Hump Day Hang, this time discussing the obstacles faced by Atlanta's live crew professionals. Be a part of this community discussion at Buteco from 7-9PM, on 2/26!

Tickets and more info at atlcollective.org
If you're behind the scenes in live music, a professional and personal life balance can be hard to maintain. If you're on stage, finding a creative team to bring your vision to life can be hard to find. If you're in either spot, come hang with us on 2/26 at Buteco. Alongside Tunewelders, we'll take a look at the challenges and opportunities specific to the live, crew music community when creating memorable performances on stage.
