With research funding cuts looming, Georgia’s research universities prove their worth and their mettle. Due to changes in federal research funding, Georgia’s research universities fared better than others nationally, but there are currently 46 NIH grants impacted (either terminated or those that may be reinstated), resulting in a loss of $22.05 million in funding.
