Tomorrow is the Geranium Festival and they have something for everyone literally! ….

this year’s Arts & Crafts Festival done added WRASSLIN’. 🤠🤼

So while you’re shopping for homemade jams, porch signs, and goat milk soap… somebody nearby might be getting body-slammed. 😂

If you wandered Southlake Mall in the early 1980s, you know there was a restaurant called Subs, Salads, and Soups. Owned and operated by Empson Fogle and his son, the restaurant eventually left the mall and became Fogle’s. When they moved to Rock Quarry Road in 2006, the name changed to Empson's Deli as a tribute to the founder.

Biscuit lovers, I have great news to share! And it’s all gravy!

The status of the downtown McDonough Hardee’s restaurant has now been changed from CLOSED to TEMPORARILY CLOSED on the official Hardee’s website.

This appears to confirm chatter I heard a couple weeks ago that this location is going to be re-opened and will now be operated by Hardee’s corporate.

No re-opening date has been announced. Hiring signage is likely expected in the coming days.

Note, it is the only McDonough location currently identified on hardees.com.

The future status of the other McDonough restaurant at Highway 20 West is unclear at this time. If you have information, please feel free to share in the comments.

More than 75 Hardee's locations operated by major franchisee ARC Burger closed across eight states in December 2025, driven by a legal dispute over unpaid royalties, rent, and fees. Affected states included Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina, and Wyoming.
