Brown butter chocolate chip cookies

Still can’t believe how good these were. Will be making again and gain! Save this recipe.

Ingredients

🔹3/4 cup melted butter(to brown it)
🔹1 cup light brown sugar
🔹1/4 cup white sugar
🔹1 large egg yolk
🔹1 whole egg
🔹1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
🔹1 tsp vanilla extract
🔹3/4 tsp baking soda
🔹1 tsp salt
🔹2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or 8 oz chopped chocolate
🔹Sea salt for topping

Instructions

1. Melt 3/4 cup butter on low heat on the stove until brown. Let it cool slightly.
2. In a bowl, mix the melted brown butter with 1 cup light brown sugar and 1/4 cup white sugar.
3. Add 1 egg yolk, 1 whole egg, and 1 tablespoon vanilla. Mix until combined.
4. Mix your dry ingredients in another bowl. Flour, baking soda, and salt. Then add to wet ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
5. Fold in 2 cups chocolate chips or chopped chocolate.
6. Scoop dough into 2 oz balls and put on parchment paper.
7. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes-1 hour.
8. Bake at 350°F for 12-14 min until edges are set and centers are soft.( depends on the size of your cookie dough)
9. Finish with a sprinkle of sea salt on top.
