𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵?
Because we were lost. Because we were guilty.
Because the holy, righteous Judge of all the earth would not let sin go unpunished—yet He also would not leave us without a Savior.

“And 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝘄𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀…” (John 1:14)
Jesus Christ, the Son of God—the second person of the Trinity—took on human flesh.
He walked among sinners. He lived a sinless life.
He came to die… in our place.

𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
And “the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)

𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁—He cannot ignore sin.
But He is also merciful.
So instead of pouring out His wrath on us,
He poured it out on His Son.

“𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱.” (John 19:30)
On that dark, trembling afternoon, love and justice met.
𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱.
He was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
And by His wounds, we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀.” (Romans 5:8)

This is the gospel:
Repent, and believe. (Mark 1:15)
Not in yourself. Not in religion. Not in your good deeds.
𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁.

𝗧𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻—𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝗻, 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗱.
To be born again is not a feeling—it’s a supernatural work of the Spirit in your heart.

Jesus is not one of many ways. 𝗛𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘆.
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

This is the truth that saves.
And this is the warning we cannot ignore:
God’s wrath is real. His patience has a limit. But His mercy is offered now.

Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. (Hebrews 3:15)

There is no greater truth than this.
𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙩. 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙡. 𝘽𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣.

Friday 10th was absolutely wonderful! ❄️ We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a surprise snowy morning, He built a snowman ⛄️ , we had snowball fights, and captured beautiful moments with our daughter. To top it off, I had the blessing of treating my husband and family to a delicious baked Cheese Rotini dinner 🍝. A day full of love, laughter, and memories to treasure forever. Happy birthday to my Handsome, the best husband & papá ❄️❤️

Happy 38th Birthday to the love of my life! BH 🥰🥳🎂

We may not have the romantic getaways we once enjoyed while dating or as newlyweds, but I wouldn’t trade this season for anything. Every moment together as a family is a gift I treasure. Your hard work and constant support have made my journey as a mother so beautiful and rewarding. Because of you, I’m able to be fully present for our daughter, and that’s a blessing beyond words.

I’m in awe of what God is doing in your life and in ours as a family. Watching you grow, prioritize us, and work so tirelessly to provide a beautiful life fills me with gratitude and admiration. You’ve become the kind of husband and father I always prayed for, and it’s incredible to see how much our baby loves you—it melts my heart every time. The way you adore her, cherish every moment with her, and pour so much love into her life makes me love you even more.

Words will never be enough to describe my love, respect, and gratitude for you. You make me want to be a better wife, the one you truly deserve. I thank God every day for the gift of you, and I’m so proud to call you mine.

Happy birthday, my love. You’re an amazing husband, a wonderful father, and the man who makes my heart so full. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for the years ahead.

I love You ❤️

There is no doubt in my mind that most people have set a goal this year to “love themselves more.” Or maybe declared some affirmation like, “This year is gonna be my year to...” You fill in the blank. Whatever it may be. No I am not here to be a kill-joy or a bubble-burster, but I am asking you to put this into perspective...and if you are a Christian, I even more so expect you to evaluate this way of thinking from a Biblical worldview. Take away the cultural urge to seek self worth and truly meditate on what it is to be called to live in the light of eternity as a follower of Jesus. Someone who has passed from death to life. A wretch who has been redeemed to live for Christ and die to self. That is what we are called to, believer.

No, I am not saying that you shouldn’t make resolutions to care for yourself in 2025...or to avoid being a good steward of your body. After all, even scripture calls us to a life of self-control and discipline.

But society is so focused on self that it has become a form of worship. We are all created to worship something. But what are we worshiping? Our intellect, our success, our bodies?

Listen to what the great C.H. Spurgeon had to say. “Grow likewise in humility. Seek to lie very low, and know more of your own nothingness. As you grow downward in humility, seek also to grow upward—having nearer approaches to God in prayer and more intimate fellowship with Jesus.”

Did you read that? We are to know more of our own “nothingness?” Do we see the culture knowing their nothingness? Absolutely not. Just turn on your TV or scroll social media for less than 5 seconds and it is all about, “I am worthy!” Or “I need love myself more.” It does not take long to see how society is inundated with this way of thinking.

Listen to what else Spurgeon had to say. “He who does not long to know more of Christ, knows nothing of him yet.”

My friends - let’s aim this year to know more of Christ instead! We can only know our “true self” when we know who Christ is first and foremost. And I don’t like who my true self is apart from Christ. I am not worthy. You are not worthy. Christ is worthy!
