Using a shotgun mic like the Rode NTG3 or Sennheiser MKH 416? They have very low output impedances of 25 Ohms. Consider using a LOW-Z preamp setting such as 300 Ohms to match better. Same with TLM 102 and 103 (50 Ohms). Can also tame sibilance issues.

Get up at 8 on a Sunday to do a Source Connect test to Sydney. It's 11 pm there. Turns out the end client doesn't have SC so it's going to be on Source Connect Now. At least we know the SC Now connection is excellent.
