🌹 National Grief Awareness Day 🌹
Grief is not only about death.
It shows up in many ways, and each one is real.
💔 The grief of losing a loved one to death.
💔 The grief of ambiguous loss—when someone is still alive, but absent through distance, estrangement, illness, or change.
💔 The grief of losing a pet—because our animals become family, and their absence leaves an ache just as deep.
Grief doesn’t have an expiration date, and it doesn’t always look the same. Some days it feels like waves crashing. Other days it’s a quiet ache.
✨ But every form of grief deserves compassion. Every story of loss deserves to be honored.
If you’re grieving today—for a person, a relationship, or a beloved pet—please know: you’re not alone. I see you. 💙
