Later this month, Congress will consider their final coronavirus response bill for 2020. From the beginning of this pandemic, the National Restaurant Association has led the charge in Washington for a comprehensive solution for our industry.

The High Museum Trade Tasting has been cancelled.

Dear Wine Auction Attendees, Sponsors, Vintners and Vendors:

As you know, we have been closely monitoring developments surrounding COVID-19; not only in Georgia but throughout the United States. While there remains a great deal of uncertainty regarding present circumstances, we know one thing is clear: The wellbeing of our traveling vintners, auction attendees, sponsors, and members of our community is paramount.

In light of this, and after much painful deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction events scheduled from March 18-21, 2020.

The timing of this decision has precluded us from fully contemplating the possibility of rescheduling certain aspects of the Auction. That thinking is underway, and we ask for patience as we spend the next few days discussing what may or may not be possible. We will inform you as soon as those details emerge. For those concerned about refunds, further information is also forthcoming.

In the meantime, please rest assured that we share your disappointment. Our extraordinary co-chairs, volunteers, and staff have worked tirelessly for months. We consequently not only regret the inability to deliver our signature event, we are also struggling to process the significant financial impact this cancellation will impose on our programming.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and will reconnect soon with updates. Thank you.

GK elevates to a national stage with recognition of their work in Georgia and new offering of care for hospitality workers across the nation.

Since Giving Kitchen was founded, we’ve asked the question, “How do we best serve food service workers in crisis?" Simply put, it’s what Ryan Hidinger asked us to do.

Last night, Giving Kitchen accepted the James Beard Foundation Humanitarian of the Year award in Chicago, and as part of that acceptance speech, we announced the next steps in self-care for food service workers: the first of many nationally-relevant resources that we will share over the coming months and years, including our partnership with the QPR Institute to offer FREE QPR suicide prevention training to food service workers across the country.
