Five Coweta County residents have been nominated for the 2026 Citizen of the Year award, an annual honor recognizing exceptional leadership, service and civic impact.
The award, presented by the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, highlights individuals whose efforts strengthen the community and reflect a sustained commitment to the well-being of local residents.
This year’s nominees are Kevin Barbee, Jess Barron, Deidre Bembry, Scott Cortner and Justin Halford. Each has demonstrated exemplary service through professional leadership, volunteer work and a dedication to improving life in Coweta County.
