Candidates In Georgia's 6th Congressional District Debate | 90.1 FM WABE

Lucy McBath and Karen Handel are in a rematch in the 6th District, which covers parts of Cobb, Fulton and DeKalb counties. The race is being fought on a nationalized stage, with arguments about health care, abortion, support for police and gun control.

When Liz Murphy and her family moved to metro Atlanta from Houston five years ago, they picked Cobb County because of its high-performing schools. As an outspoken Democrat, she remembers wearing Hillary Clinton buttons when dropping off her kids in 2016. “It was almost like a whisper campaign. Peo...

A cronical of the TRAIL OF TEARS, 2 sisters of Cherokee ancestry who follow the Trail of Tears from Ga. to Oklahoma. 16,000 Cherokee were rounded up in Ga, and forced to walk to Oklahoma. 4,000 died along the way. We can thank Andrew Jackson for that. I sure hope his statues have also been removed.
On Hidden Brain, an NPR podcast, we heard about how devastating this isolation can be on people. The psychologist being interviewed highly recommended we use the term physical distancing instead of social distancing. There IS a difference and our words do matter. We want to stay socially and emotionally close to our friends and family but stay physically distanced from them during this pandemic. Is there any way, WABE and NPR could lead the charge in changing the wording? Can we all please start calling it physical distancing?

Hello can you please provide the link to a ballot guide for voters? Something succinct that would help to demystify who candidates are and what they stand for? I'm not looking for anyone to tell me who to vote for, I'm looking for a breakdown of candidates and their political leanings i.e.- candidate X is pro life and endorsed by Kemp where candidate Y is pro choice and the governor hates him or whatever. Does such a think exist and if so why is it not on your landing page? Everyday voters rely on this kind of guidance because most people aren't going to spend hours of research on this. This is what leads to voter apathy- because this can be intimidating. Many thanks
