We have teamed up with the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) so that a portion of your sale goes to fund monarch habitat restoration projects.
Habitat restoration is essential for the survival of this beautiful and incredibly important species.
According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, due to habitat loss, changing agricultural practices, climate change, pesticide exposure, and invasive species, there has been a drastic decrease in monarch butterfly populations. This rapid decline motivated the CARCD to take action. The CARCD is currently working to improve coastal California wintering sites (which the monarch butterfly depends on heavily) and create breeding and migratory habitat. We are very excited to team up with CARCD to do our part.
