Some days, last minute shoots happen. Today’s challenge, no light kit. We did have one source, the sun. Production is troubleshooting and sometimes it’s simply working with what you got. We’re pretty happy how this no light kit turned out. Great job, @hannah__jean!

Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers

#transformationtuesday // Have you ever woken suddenly from a terrible dream, only to find your fears were real? Now imagine that feeling, multiplied by a thousand.

This was Donna Nottage’s experience, when a dream jolted her into a 45-minute seizure just the night before Christmas. 48 hours, two hospitals, and one surgery later, Donna would receive the inconceivable news of a brain cancer diagnosis.

With a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma threatening her life and family, consisting of a loving husband and two young toddlers, Donna was told she had only three years to live. Refusing to allow herself to become one of the statistics, Donna met with another Hope4Cancer survivor for smoothies and advice, and soon found herself in a new world of hope and possibility.

"When you’ve got two young boys, you can’t leave. You have to be there for them. You get just one chance at life, and you’ve got to make it count."

In our latest patient testimony, Donna opens up about her experience at Hope4Cancer, the smoothie date that changed her life, and the strength she needed to overcome her oncologist’s devastating predictions.

We will never, ever forget the horrific events that happened on the day of 9/11/01 and thereafter.

This summer we had the opportunity to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. We knew it would be a somber experience. But, to be on site - it is hard to describe. The museum not only honors the thousands lost in the World Trade Centers, Pentagon, and the planes but the rescue and recovery workers that lost their lives as well as the thousands more exposed to environmental hazards at Ground Zero. This isn’t an event that happened 18 years ago, it is still happening. #neverforget

Hello video friends.

Volunteer request. Looking for someone to possibly film Broll of a concrete pour for a future Bell Tower at GA NATIONAL CEMETERY, Canton GA on 9/10 & 9/11. I don’t have any specific details yet but I have a travel conflict and can’t film it myself.

This is volunteer ask, but this Bell Tower honors the memory of our fallen heroes on the grounds there. Likely will need drone shots as well (over federal property with special permission granted).

I plan to cover the rest of install myself. Looking to document full progress of this install.

#transformationtuesday // When life hands you a cancer diagnosis, you’re faced with many important choices. Perhaps the most crucial one is whether you’ll accept the fate that’s been given to you or forge your own path to healing.

For Kate Malvenan, the choice was never in question. With her two-year-old daughter Annabelle depending on her, accepting a six-month life sentence was simply not an option. Frustrated with how little the Australian medical system offered her in terms of medical resources and hope, Kate quickly sought out an alternative course of action.

Arriving at Hope4Cancer Cancun with stage 4 lung cancer that had already spread to multiple sites, Kate was sure of only one thing: she had to fight for Annabelle. In just three weeks, seven cancerous lymph nodes transformed into just one, tumors shrunk over 50% in size, and shock and fear transformed into unshakable confidence and trust.

‘A little stability:' Family shares story of taking in foster teen, hopes to inspire others to do the same

Morgan was recently baptized at Browns Bridge Church and we had the privilege of helping her tell her story.

By all appearance, Morgan Mayo has the typical life of a high school senior: she was on the cheerleading team at Forsyth Central High School in the fall, is on the varsity soccer team this spring, takes Advanced Placement classes and is getting ready for senior prom and college.

Yesterday, we baptized Kevin and Leeanne Ramirez. They moved to Forsyth County from Portland in 2011 and shortly after moving they were invited to attend Browns Bridge. Since then, Kevin is now leading a group of middle school guys in Transit, Leeanne went through Starting Point and they have joined a married small group.

It was such a special moment for our church to see them both get baptized on the same day! We are so glad Browns Bridge feels like HOME to their family 🖤
