We knocked it out of the park last week with a baseball-themed lunch at our corporate office! Employees repped their favorite teams, enjoyed classic ballpark bites, and took a well-earned break to catch up and enjoy the summer season.

Did you know Selig also has roots in the chemical industry? Simon Selig, Sr. founded the Selig Chemical Company in 1896 at the age of 16. Over time, the business grew into one of the city’s earliest industrial and retail property holders. His son, Simon Selig, Jr. ran the business and later sold the company to join his wife Caroline in real estate. In 1968, the company was transformed into what we know today as Selig Enterprises. Simon Selig, Jr. and Caroline are the parents of current owners, Cathy and Steve Selig.

The former Selig Chemical Company building still stands at 330-346 Marietta St., and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Coming soon to Underwood Hills! Grindhouse Killer Burgers is making its Upper Westside debut with a new location at 1221 Chattahoochee Avenue. Dakota Contractors is overseeing the conversion of the former Truist Bank building. The signature second-story roof deck is already taking shape. We can't wait to welcome Grindhouse as a Selig tenant!

For over 100 years, the Selig family has prioritized community service as a cornerstone of its commitment to Atlanta.

In 1959, with support from the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, Ben Massell helped secure a new home in Midtown for the Morris Hirsch Clinic—a healthcare center offering outpatient medical and dental services to those unable to afford care. Today, that building is known as the Ben Massell Dental Clinic, renamed in honor of his leadership, support, and philanthropy.
