On Wednesdays We Wear Pink! During the month of October, Selig employees came together to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month with special activities and custom t-shirts created by the Cupid Committee. We support those affected by breast cancer and seek to raise awareness for a cause that touches so many.

Rhonda Spratt, a lease administrator at Selig also runs, Bella Luve’ Goes Pink, an organization she created to supporting women affected by breast cancer by providing comfort boxes. Bella Luve' Goes Pink was honored at the 3rd Annual Pink Pumpkin Party hosted by Chattahoochee Food Works. The event brought together survivors, advocates, and community members for meaningful conversations about breast health and early detection. Thank you to our Selig family who joined the event or contributed through donations.

10,500-seat cricket stadium coming to LaGrange, Georgia!

Selig has sold a 45-acre parcel at Sola to the founders of DAS Cricket Academy and the NJ Blackcaps (now the Atlanta Blackcaps) for the development of the LaGrange Cricket Stadium. The 10,500-seat venue will break ground this fall and is scheduled for completion in early 2027. Designed to meet International Cricket Council standards, the stadium will also feature a FIFA-regulated soccer field, expanding its use for multiple sports.

Sola is Selig's planned 180-acre mixed-use community, home to Great Wolf Lodge, located in LaGrange, Georgia. Check out the full story in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The Works is the recipient of the ULI Atlanta Development of Excellence Award in Adaptive Reuse! Since 1995, ULI Atlanta has recognized projects that transform communities and set a standard for real estate development. This award reflects the vision, talent, and dedication of our team — from the planners and designers to those who bring the project to life every day on site. It is also a tribute to Scott Selig’s legacy; his commitment to the vision, quality, and heart of The Works continues to guide everything we do, and we know he would be proud of this moment.
We are grateful for our exceptional team and their ongoing pursuit of excellence. The Works is not only redefining adaptive reuse, but also serving as a model for innovation and community impact.

The third annual PUPFEST at The Works ATL was a tail-wagging success! This year’s “Woofstock” theme had guests grooving to live music, enjoying caricatures, sipping festive drinks (and pupcups), and cheering on the Grooviest costume contest featuring the pups and their people.

A big thanks to everyone on The Works’ team, our amazing vendors and tenants, and all those in the community for bringing PUPFEST to life for the third year in a row!

Did you know Selig also has roots in the chemical industry? Simon Selig, Sr. founded the Selig Chemical Company in 1896 at the age of 16. Over time, the business grew into one of the city’s earliest industrial and retail property holders. His son, Simon Selig, Jr. ran the business and later sold the company to join his wife Caroline in real estate. In 1968, the company was transformed into what we know today as Selig Enterprises. Simon Selig, Jr. and Caroline are the parents of current owners, Cathy and Steve Selig.

The former Selig Chemical Company building still stands at 330-346 Marietta St., and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
